Spring has sprung in my part of the world, and I am all about sitting outside on my porch in a hoodie, reading in this beautiful weather with a cup of tea. So I thought why not give you a leaf or two to try out?
I thought about owning a tearoom or coffee house years ago, but ultimately, I ended up going back to my roots as working in the medical field and writing after work. I still dream about being able to have a wall of tea leaves and mugs covered in all different kinds of sayings and paintings, chatting with people who are regulars and strangers who just dropped in for a shot of the best brew. So let’s dive in to some good reads that pair well with a hot drink. I’ll take mine with cream.

First up is a great book by Lynn Cahoon. Lynn and I just did a cozy con event recently and as always it was a blast to get to hang out with her. Seeing her books on the table right near mine reminded me how much I love this her characters! VOWS OF MURDER (A Tourist Trap Mystery Book 17) is a wonderful addition to this long-running series. I was hooked from page one and couldn’t put it down!

Next, we have Laura Childs writing her Tea Mystery Series. She’s on book #29 with HIGH TEA AND MISDEMEANORS! Wow, but this series never gets old and I’ve loved all of them. The most recent just came out last month and it’s all about a wedding and a murdered bridesmaid. As always her twists and turns kept me flipping those pages and making just one more cup of tea while I read just one more chapter.

Last but certainly not least we have Cleo Coyle who is endlessly entertaining with her character Clare Cosi! BULLETPROOF BARISTA was an amazingly fast and grab-me-by-the-throat ride through all kinds of shenanigans and some wonderfully twisty turns to the very last page!
I’ll leave you with best wishes for awesome weather and plenty of reading time to soak up the sunshine while getting lost in a story you just can’t put down!
Misty Simon always wanted to be a storyteller - preferably behind a Muppet. Animal was number one, followed closely by Sherlock Hemlock. Since that dream didn’t come true, she began writing stories to share her world with readers, one laugh at a time.
Touching people’s hearts and funny bones are two of her favorite things, and she hopes everyone at least snickers in the right places when reading her books. She lives with her husband in Central Pennsylvania where she is hard at work on her next novel or three. She loves to hear from readers so drop her a line via email.
