Sara Reyes | At RWA National...

Oops, I helped close down a party last night and overslept. It happens, so the
rest of today's blog will come. I promise. And I dreamed a really great one too!
All about how I met:

Suzanne Brockmann chatting with Allison Brennan and talked about Readers 'n
'ritas and doing DFW Tea Call-ins.

Also hugs all around from a group of blondes including Linda Howard, Beverly
Barton, Linda Winstead Jones and Sharon Page. We talked about llamas, and
husbands and books! Linda Howard promised to sign our copy of her book VEIL OF
NIGHT releasing on Tuesday.

Then I saw the beautiful Marie Bostwick -- she was all glitter and cream and
just breathtaking. Hugs all around there too! Faye met her goddess, THE LISA
KLEYPAS. Trust me on this one, the CAPS are necessary! Only books Faye keeps and
collects are Kleypas. Also met up Ann Aguirre or Ava Gray (she goes undercover
as one or the other) I was jealous of her hair, it looks so good on her but
would look great on me, ah well!

Finally got to say hi to Jenna Black as she was easing out the door, but I got
her in time to say hi! Gwen cornered Louisa Edwards and they chatted up
cupcakes, pies and made me really really hungry! Louisa promised to be our
September 15th author call-in.

Chatted Wendy Corsi Staub's ear off at the bus from the Harper Collins party,
we'd love to have her attend Readers 'n 'ritas this year, right guys? (send her
a message, please!)

Also sat across from Eloisa James looking regal and I think a bit French (she's
spending the year in France so it could just my imagination, but I think not!).
Giggled with Jenna Petersen...

oops the boat is calling and I've go to get back to work. So this is it for now.

You sure are getting to meet a lot of very interesting Authors!! What a wonderful time to get an inside scoop on all their different genres of writing, as well!! How I wish I could be down there to meet everyone. You touched down on a few of my favorites, and I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall!! lol Have a great time, and can't wait to hear more.

Interesting info about the getogether and no wonder you overslept. Authors sound like a great bunch of individuals.

RWA sounds like the place to be if you're at all romantic or like to mingle around romance. It's great to let loose a little at a gathering of like-minds.

My favorite author and you got to talk to her: Linda Howard. I don't suppose you got some hints about her new book coming out?
(Diane Sadler 7:22pm July 31, 2010)

I'm SO jealous.

You"re havin' a great time that's for sure! Would like to be a butterfly flitting around you all...what fun!!

Would LOVE to have Wendy Corsi Staub at this year's Readers & 'ritas! So jealous of the time you spent with Suzanne Brockmann & Linda Howard. Sandi said they were out of Suz's Infamous so she couldn't get it signed for me at the literacy signing. Sigh...
(Summer Sharp 11:58am August 1, 2010)

I'm really envious!
(Brenda Rupp 10:30pm August 1, 2010)

Sounds like fun was had by all!
