What's New in July?

Each month I go to www.eHarlequin.com to check out the latest releases, I get so excited. I feel like a kid in a candy store. Usually the first series I check out are Harlequin Blaze, NASCAR, Presents, and Nocturne. These are just a few of my favorites. Let’s see what Harlequin and Silhouette have to offer us for July.

Harlequin NASCAR

When I write this column, normally the newest releases of NASCAR are the month before my column goes out. So here are the two releases as of June of 2009.

OVER THE WALL by Dorien Kelly and NO HOLDS BARRED by Marisa Carroll. Be sure to check out both of these books. They are definitely great reads!

Harlequin Blaze

The first book I’m choosing to discuss from this series is from Rhonda Nelson, she’s an author I really enjoy. Every time she has a book out I try to read it. Her July release is titled THE SOLDIER. Here is the blurb with her book.

Subject: Adam McPherson, Special Forces

Current Status: Out of commission…for now!

Mission: Return to battle.

Obstacle: Winnie Templeman. She won’t take no for an answer!

Adam is Uncle Sam's man. Yet even his strict military discipline is no match for Winnie's charms! A horrific roadside bomb sent Adam home injured—and haunted. Feisty Winnie, however, has her own plan of attack. Her nonregulation method of sexual healing is guaranteed to get him back on his feet. But being flat on his back in Winnie's bed might be the best remedy of all….

The second Blaze book I’m going to introduce to you and to myself is from an author I have yet to read. MAKE ME YOURS by Betina Krahn . This book sounds really intriguing and I think you will enjoy it as well. Mariah Eller was only trying to save her inn from being trashed. So how did the widow manage to attract the unwanted—and erotic—attention of the Prince of Wales? Not that being desired by royalty is necessarily bad… Only, Mariah much prefers the prince's best friend.

Harlequin Presents

This month I am more excited about the books offered by this line. So here are all 12 titles. Enjoy!
BILLIONAIRE PRINCE, PREGNANT MISTRESS by Sandra Marton
THE GREEK TYCOON’S BLACKMAILED MISTRESS by Lynne Graham
THE BRUNELLI BABY BARGAIN by Kim Lawrence
THE SHEIKH’S LOVE- CHILD by Kate Hewitt
PREGNANT WITH THE BILLIONAIRE’S BABY by Carole Mortimer
PIRATE TYCOON, FORBIDDEN BABY by Janette Kenny
SURRENDER TO THE PLAYBOY SHEIKH by Kate Hardy
SHEIKH BOSS, HOT DESERT NIGHTS by Susan Stephens
THE SANTANGELI MARRIAGE by Sara Craven
SALZANO’S CAPTIVE BRIDE by Daphne Clair
THE RUTHLESS ITALIAN’S INEXPERIENCED WIFE by Christina Hollis
BOUGHT FOR MARRIAGE by Margaret Mayo

Silhouette Nocturne

WILD WOLF by Karen Whiddon is one of two books released this month. Turning her back on humans because of her ability to shape-shift into a wolf, a young beautiful Raven doesn’t believe she needs anyone. Until the day a darkly handsome man appears near her remote cave… and she watched him turn into a wolf. Simon Caldwell has been sent to assess the threat of a new feral wolf prowling the Rockies. But he’s wholly unprepread for his intense attraction to Raven. His investigation is about to take a deadly turn as he and Raven become the hunted. Now their very survivale depends on Simon’s ability to win what this wild wold holds most dear! I really love this story. I love the fact that the heroine, Raven, is able to shape-shift. Rarely is is the woman of the story. It’s very powerful!

Also be sure to check out the rest of the series that are released the first of everymonth. They include: Silhoutte Romantic Suspense, Harlequin Medical, Spice books, Harlequin Historical, Harlequin Historical Undone, and Kimani Romance.

Harlequin Fun Fact

• In June of 2009, The Harlequin Exhibition, Openhouse Gallery, opened. It’s located on 201 Mulberry Street, New York, NY.

Happy Reading,
Tonya
