He comes from an abusive home, but the weird thing is, his father was cruel to his older siblings and not him. He grew up looking for the line he would have to cross to earn some punishment from the old man and he never found it. This left him pretty messed up, but he was okay with that because his older brother and sister were also messed up. They were messed up together.

Then his sister reunited with the older brother Demitri didn’t know he had. How could she have kept something like that from him? Everyone started getting married and having babies and living happily ever after and he just keeps getting more and more repelled by the idea of family. Don’t they remember that horrible childhood they had? Why would they want to risk repeating all of that?

Into this, he meets Natalie. On the surface she seems to be like him: interested in a light affair and sexually, they rock each other’s world. This is the perfect distraction from all that family stuff breathing down his neck, except she is reluctant to let him shift her into the position of formal mistress. Doesn’t she realize how rich he is?

Natalie doesn’t have a price, though. Not when she has a daughter waiting for her to finish her special work project in Paris. All she wanted was to feel like a single woman for a weekend, but things with Demitri got very complicated very fast.

They break things off and it should have been permanent, but Demitri can’t forget her. If Demitri wants to keep seeing Natalie, however, he has to face ready-made fatherhood. It’s a dilemma!
