In DARE TO
HOLD, Scott Dare is a cop who chafes under the rules that come with the job
… he’s hot, he’s a Dare so he’s dominating, and when he sees Meg Thompson, he
decides he’s all in, no matter the complications that come with her - and there
are many. Hot cops are always worth drooling over, right? So I asked my readers
on Facebook for their two cents on the hottest cops in movies present and past …
and what makes them so desirable?
And I decided to share the list of hot cops because it’s always good to imagine
them, drool, remember and maybe watch this weekend, right? Of course we jumped
from movies to TV and I think that’s absolutely okay … because there are
definitely hot cops on the small screen too.
First up, hot cops I love too -
Kurt Russell - Tango and Cash: YES YES, YES! :) I admit to
having a Kurt Russell crush! Watching him in his tee-shirt, those muscles and
good looks … a girl just knows she’s safe if he’s your go-to guy!
Tom Selleck and Donnie Wahlberg - Blue Bloods: It’s a Friday
night staple for me - and how can you resist good looking family men who go to
the wall to protect people? You can’t!
Chicago PD - All of them: YES YES AND YES! These actors, I
don’t even know their names, but from the older to the youngest on the team, I’d
let any of them protect my body any day.
Don Johnson - Miami Vice and Nash Bridges: if we can put aside
the pastels … Don Johnson just epitomizes hot cop for me.
Steven Segall: Can’t recall movie names but I do remember
dragging my husband to the movies to see him.
And the runners up or honorable mentions as it may be:
Channing Tatum - 21 Jump Street
Colin Farrell - SWAT
Mark Harmon - Gibs - NCIS (TV)
Keanu Reeves - Speed
Mel Gibson - Lethal Weapon
The Rock (Dwayne Johnson) - Furious Seven and Walking Tall
So what makes a hot cop? Because let’s face it, the actors mentioned above in
these roles are good looking and sexy. We need to take the cop factor into
account. A protective male is a sexy one. Whether it’s a man in uniform or a
detective in a suit and tie, a man in control also exudes sex appeal. Law
enforcement automatically comes with the confidence factor and that makes a man
appealing.
About DARE TO HOLD
Some women always get it right. Kindergarten teacher, Meg Thompson, on the other
hand, consistently makes the wrong decisions -- and she is currently single,
pregnant and alone. Meg is determined to make changes in her life, to be a
better mother than her own had been. No revolving door of men. No man, period.
Just a single-minded focus on her baby. Her resolution would be easier to keep
if not for hot cop, Scott Dare. He insinuates himself in her life, making Meg
want to believe in happily ever after, even if history has taught her to know
better.
When Scott Dare hears Meg's friends are determined she have a night of hot sex
before her life changes forever, he decides that man must be him. Their one
night is mind blowing and life altering. And Scott, a man already burned by his
ex-wife, finds himself all in anyway. While protecting Meg from her violent ex
and becoming part of her increasingly complicated life, he's falling hard and he
can't seem to find distance. Not when their bodies respond to each other with
such heated intensity and he's drawn to her unique combination of strength and
vulnerability.
But Meg's future is one Scott has accepted he'll never have, even if his growing
feelings say otherwise ...
