Some people think the hardest thing about being me is the fact that Iβm the only

Summer rolled her eyes. βOh come on, Ethan. You canβt tell me you didnβt know!β
she said with a laugh. βEveryone knew! Hell, my brothers used to throw things at
me to stop me from staring at you!β
Ethan stopped and thought about that for a moment and then started to laugh.
βSeriously? Thatβs what that was about?β
βWhat?β
βI remember your brothers always throwing stuff at youβ¦popcorn, socksβ¦ I think I
remember James throwing a basketball at you once and I thought it was odd.β
βThey told me I was being a nuisance.β
Shaking his head, Ethan continued to laugh. βNot to me, because clearly I didnβt
even notice.β
βThanks a lot!β she cried and went to pull away, but Ethan pulled her in close.
βDonβt take it like that,β he said and wrapped his arms around her. βI just
meant that I never knew. I always thought you were beautiful and sometimes I had
to wonder if your brothers ever caught me staring at you.β
βI donβt know. Did they ever throw anything at your face for no reason?β she
asked with a smirk.
βNot that I can remember. But it doesnβt matter. All I know is that youβre here
now and Iβm seeing you, Summer. Really seeing you.β
Her eyes went wide at his words and the sincerity behind them. βWhat do you see?β
βI see a woman I want to get to know better. A woman who is sexy and intelligent
and justβ¦everything.β
