Some people think the hardest thing about being me is the fact that Iโm the only

Summer rolled her eyes. โOh come on, Ethan. You canโt tell me you didnโt know!โ
she said with a laugh. โEveryone knew! Hell, my brothers used to throw things at
me to stop me from staring at you!โ
Ethan stopped and thought about that for a moment and then started to laugh.
โSeriously? Thatโs what that was about?โ
โWhat?โ
โI remember your brothers always throwing stuff at youโฆpopcorn, socksโฆ I think I
remember James throwing a basketball at you once and I thought it was odd.โ
โThey told me I was being a nuisance.โ
Shaking his head, Ethan continued to laugh. โNot to me, because clearly I didnโt
even notice.โ
โThanks a lot!โ she cried and went to pull away, but Ethan pulled her in close.
โDonโt take it like that,โ he said and wrapped his arms around her. โI just
meant that I never knew. I always thought you were beautiful and sometimes I had
to wonder if your brothers ever caught me staring at you.โ
โI donโt know. Did they ever throw anything at your face for no reason?โ she
asked with a smirk.
โNot that I can remember. But it doesnโt matter. All I know is that youโre here
now and Iโm seeing you, Summer. Really seeing you.โ
Her eyes went wide at his words and the sincerity behind them. โWhat do you see?โ
โI see a woman I want to get to know better. A woman who is sexy and intelligent
and justโฆeverything.โ
