Since February is the month of looooovvvveeeee, let’s fill up your TBR with some of the best!
I’m particularly fond of the whole romance in a cozy thing, if we’re being honest. I write what are called RomCozies and I adore them. Yes, I love the justice and the community and the puzzle and the game, but I love that all spiced up with a little romance, too. Plus, while I like regular romance, being able to watch the main character grow into her relationship with her special person over the course of several books keeps it fresh. I have romance in all my cozy mysteries and love it. But let’s dive into some other people’s books that might make you sigh, not only because justice is served but also because we might just have a new book boyfriend!

First, let’s look at Rosalie Speilman’s THE CORAL CONSPIRACY!
I love a good hottie to keep you on your toes, and Nelly is in quite the quandary in this delightful mystery filled with sea, sand, murder and a little spot of ooh-la-la! This is a fun read to tide you over in these colder months. Hawaii here we come!

Next up is Kate Carlisle’s DRESSED TO DRILL!
Now this is not the first book in the series, so we’d be hitting mid-stream on the wonderful relationship between Shannon and Mac, but they are so fun to watch in motion while also being along for the ride on whodunnit! I found this book to be a wonderful addition to the series and love how the two interact.

Then let’s take a look at ROSES ARE DEAD, VIOLETS ARE BLUE: A Flower Shop Mystery by Kate Collins! This one is actually set at Valentine’s Day and involves quite the murder mystery. The book doesn’t have a new romance but a great married couple that I just love to see how they work together to get things done!

Last but certainly not least is BODY MOVERS (A Body Movers Novel Book 1) by Stephanie Bond. Honestly, if you haven’t read any of this series, you had best get on it now. As in stop reading this and immediately go buy. I’ll be here when you get back…
I adore the wit and the romance and the mysteries in this series, especially this first book where you totally will get pulled in right away. Run, don’t walk to entangle yourself in all the feels with Carlotta and friends, family, and perhaps a little romance!
I know that some mysteries can lean hard into the crimes and the community, and I love those but there’s a special place in my heart, especially near Valentine’s Day where our girl doesn’t just catch her killer, but also the eye of that saucy someone who might just make crime-solving a little bit RomCozier.

Misty Simon always wanted to be a storyteller - preferably behind a Muppet. Animal was number one, followed closely by Sherlock Hemlock. Since that dream didn’t come true, she began writing stories to share her world with readers, one laugh at a time.
Touching people’s hearts and funny bones are two of her favorite things, and she hopes everyone at least snickers in the right places when reading her books. She lives with her husband in Central Pennsylvania where she is hard at work on her next novel or three. She loves to hear from readers so drop her a line via email.
