If it’s fall, it’s time for suspense—at least in my publishing world! And I’m super excited about my new release, which earned a starred review from Library Journal. It’s Book 2 in my Undaunted Courage series, but no worries if you haven’t read Book 1. All of my novels can be read as standalones.
OVER THE EDGE will take you on a mind-bending journey with Lindsey Barnes, a personal chef, and police detective Jack Tucker. Lindsey’s already been through one trauma, and now she’s become the sole witness in a high-profile murder case. But someone is trying to undermine her credibility—or so she says, despite the lack of evidence to support her claims. Getting to the bottom of that puzzle is crucial for Jack as he works to identify the perpetrator in the case…and begins to fall for his prime witness. With psychological suspense galore and more twists than a pretzel, this one will keep you guessing!
O is for overboard. Not the way Lindsey planned to end her early morning sculling session—and certainly not the way she wants to die.
V is for vexing. Jack’s reaction to Lindsey’s frosty attitude at their first meeting. Why doesn’t she like him?
E is for everywhere. Because whoever is trying to make Lindsey thinks she’s losing her mind seems to be able to anticipate her moves and target her wherever she goes.
R is for reality. Is Lindsey losing her grip on this after enduring two traumas close together? Jack begins to wonder as the incidents she reports become increasingly bizarre.
T is for the Tuckers. Jack and his three foster siblings are as tight as blood relations, and the witty banter among them is a hoot.
H is for happily ever after. You’ll be rooting for this as sparks begin to fly between Jack and Lindsey. There’s definitely sizzle in this book!
E is for exemplary. That describes Jack’s character. Despite a very difficult childhood, he’s grown up to have a hero’s sterling qualities.
E is for everyone. As in everyone seems to be a suspect in this book.
D is for dessert. Lindsey may be a professional chef, but Jack’s not too bad in the kitchen, either. And his chocolate mint squares are to die for!
G is for grip. Lindsey doesn’t want to lose this psychologically—or physically, either, in the climax of the book.
E is for evil. Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow does, according to one of radio’s most memorable dramas. And by the end of this book, you will, too. Because it definitely lives in the hearts of all true villains.
Undaunted Courage #2
Trauma survivor Lindsey Barnes hasn't fully recovered from the ordeal that almost took her life, and now she's in the middle of another crisis. Not only is she the sole witness in a high-profile murder case, but someone is also pushing her to question her sanity.
Police detective Jack Tucker doesn't know what to make of her story, especially when her elusive enemy leaves no evidence behind to lend credence to her claims. Yet the more he gets to know the appealing personal chef, the more he's convinced someone is targeting not only her sanity, but her life.
And unless they can figure out who is behind the campaign to undermine her credibility, a murderer could slip away--leaving more than one body in his or her wake.
With her signature spellbinding style, the bestselling and award-winning "queen of inspirational romantic suspense" (Library Journal) delivers another riveting tale that will keep you turning pages long into the night.
