Instead of trying to find your perfect match in a dating app, we bring you the “Author-Reader Match" where we introduce you to authors you may fall in love with. It's our great pleasure to present Sheila Roberts!

Writes:

I write about women’s friendships, family, and finding love. And food. Food gets a lot of attention in my books, and many of them (especially the Christmas novels) have recipes included.

About:

I’ve been on multiple best-seller lists, including USA Today and Publishers Weekly, and have seen my books turned into movies for the Lifetime, Hallmark, and Great American Family Channels. (Did you enjoy The Nine Lives of Christmas? If you watched that movie you saw me lurking around in the background trying to steal a scene.) I love to have fun and interact with readers. My handle for all my social media is Fun with Sheila.

What I’m looking for in my ideal reader match:

  • Someone who enjoys romping through crazy and embarrassing situations with my characters.
  • Someone who prefers closed door romance. (My mother would haunt me if I wrote explicit sex scenes!)
  • Someone who wants to come away from spending time together feeling encouraged.
  • Must like HEA’s (My characters might have problems along the way, and we might all shed some tears together, but we will end up smiling when the story is done.)

What to expect if we're compatible:

  • I’ll give you heroines to cheer on and the kind of self-sacrificing heroes every woman deserves. They won’t all be cover-model gorgeous, but they will all be perfect. If you’re looking to get inspired and encouraged, my heroines are there to show you how to end up with the right man, solve your problems and live your best life.
  • If you want to talk books, have fun and party together on social media, I’m your author. We hang out a lot on my Facebook author page, where I’m often hosting virtual parties or chatting with other authors. Find me there or on Instagram, where I post about travel adventures, upcoming promotions, and book tours. And recipes. We must share recipes, right? Let’s get together and see if we’re a match.

THE BEST LIFE BOOK CLUB by Sheila Roberts

The Best Life Book Club

It started as a book club. It became a way to build a better life together.

Karissa Newcomb is ready for a new start in a new neighborhood, as far away as she can get from Seattle, where her husband cheated on her with the neighbor who was supposed to be her best friend. She and her nine-year-old daughter are moving on to the city of Gig Harbor on the bay in Puget Sound. She even has a new job as an assistant at a small publishing company right in Gig Harbor. Her new boss seems like a bit of a curmudgeon, but a job is a job, she loves to read, and the idea of possibly meeting writers sounds fabulous.

Soon she finds she’s not the only one in need of a refresh. Her new neighbors, Alice and Margot, are dealing with their own crises. Alice is still grieving her late husband and hasn’t been able to get behind the wheel of a car since a close call after his death. Margot is floundering after getting divorced and laid off in quick succession. They could all use a distraction, and a book club seems like just the ticket. Together, the three women, along with Alice’s grumpy older sister, Josie, embark on a literary journey that just might be the kick-start they need to begin building their best lives yet.
