2--What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book?
What if a rock star moved in next door?
3--How did you decide where your book was going to take place?
I binged several seasons of “Virgin River” and fell in love with the fell of its Northern California small town.
4--Would you hang out with your heroine in real life?
Yes. She has a good heart and a solid sense of humor. I value those in people.
5--What are three words that describe your hero?
Grumpy, hot, and talented.
6--What’s something you learned while writing this book?
That you can get garlic fries in Northern California. I really want some.
7--Do you edit as you draft or wait until you are totally done?
I edit as I go. I don’t feel like I can build onto a story if I don’t have a strong foundation.
8--What’s your favorite foodie indulgence?
I have a thing for onion rings at the moment. As you can tell from the book!
9--Describe your writing space/office!
I have an office at home. It’s a mess right now. But it has furniture made from recycled boat hulls which is very colorful and several pot plants and good light.
10--Who is an author you admire?
I’m reading “A Thorn in The Saddle” by Rebekah Weatherspoon. And it’s such an easy charming and well written read. The woman has serious skills. I’ve had a lot of trouble getting into books in the last few years. But this one sucked me straight in and it’s such a relief to be reading again. I’m loving it.
11--Is there a book that changed your life?
It would probably be my first Lorelei James. Her writing is so clean and minimal. It really inspired my own writing style.
12--Tell us about when you got “the call.” (when you found out your book was going to be published)
That was almost ten years ago now. I was thrilled and terrified in equal measures.
13--What’s your favorite genre to read?
Romance
14--What’s your favorite movie?
The Terminator. It has it all, an apocalypse, time travel, and an epic love story.
15--What is your favorite season?
Autumn. Cool enough for jeans and tees.
16--How do you like to celebrate your birthday?
Having a few drinks with friends at a bar near the beach, usually. And cake. Cake is always a good idea.
17--What’s a recent tv show/movie/book/podcast you highly recommend?
I actually just started watching “Nashville” and I’m loving it. I know, I’m way behind.
18--What’s your favorite type of cuisine?
Mexican
19--What do you do when you have free time?
Watch TV mostly. Hang out with my husband.

I’m hoping to move onto writing a follow up to FAKE. My hot rich guys in Hollywood series. Fingers crossed everything goes right!
