2--What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book?
Chase Wilde returns home, a wounded warrior, ready to start a new life with the woman he secretly loves, but first he’ll have to prove himself to be the reformed man he says he is before she’ll let him into his daughter’s life - and hopefully hers - again.
3--How did you decide where your book was going to take place?
Wyoming’s wild landscape is the perfect backdrop for my Wilde cowboys!
4--Would you hang out with your heroine in real life?
Yes! Shelby is a kind single mom, doing her best to raise her daughter and provide her with a good and happy life. She loves hard and deep and is the kind of friend who’ll show up when you need her.
5--What are three words that describe your hero?
Tough. Tenacious. Loving.
6--What’s something you learned while writing this book?
There are several stages to frostbite.
7--Do you edit as you draft or wait until you are totally done?
Mostly I edit when the book is done. If something comes up that requires I tweak something in the beginning, I’ll go back and rewrite that part, then continue to the end.
8--What’s your favorite foodie indulgence?
Brownies!
9--Describe your writing space/office!
Since everyone was home for Covid and my grandson arrived, I’ve had to hide away in my bedroom so I can focus. I bought a floor chair (basically a seat and back only) that I put on my bed. My cat loves it!
10--Who is an author you admire?
So many of them. Because I write romantic suspense, Sandra Brown is a favorite. She’s had such a long career writing romance and now suspense books.
11--Is there a book that changed your life?
I’ve read so many books. They all hit me in different ways in the moment, and then it’s the next one that grabs me. But the one that really changed my life is the first one I ever wrote. I never knew I wanted to be a writer until I wrote that book. And then I couldn’t stop writing.
12--Tell us about when you got “the call.” (when you found out your book was going to be published)
I had attended a conference three weeks prior to the call. An editor said she loved romantic suspense, but no one ever sent her any. I emailed my agent and asked him to send my book to her, hoping she’d like it. He called me and said she loved it. It was such a great feeling. I don’t really remember what I said, just how incredibly excited I was that my book was actually going to be published and sitting on a shelf in a bookstore and in someone’s home.
13--What’s your favorite genre to read?
Historical romance. I love being transported to another time.
14--What’s your favorite movie?
Legally Blonde, Sweet Home Alabama, Hope Floats, Before I Fall
15--What is your favorite season?
Spring and Fall
16--How do you like to celebrate your birthday?
Dinner (that I don’t have to cook) with my family.

Big Sky
18--What’s your favorite type of cuisine?
Italian
19--What do you do when you have free time?
Read books, play in the garden, hiking.
