In April Harlequin and Silhouette have some of the best books being released
that I have read all year. The first is from Harlequin American Romance line
called The Marriage
Recipe by Michele
Dunaway. Rachel Palladia is New York's well-beloved pastry chef. She works
for her boss, and soon to be husband in a very upscale Italian restaurant, well
until she catches him in bed with another woman. When her ex-fiancé sues for
the rights to her recipes Rachel heads home and confides in once secret crush
and now attorney, Colin Morris. While helping her case their relationship heats
up. Soon they are headed towards the alter, but Colin wants to stay in the
small town while Rachel dreams of the city.
Harlequin Blaze is no disappointment either. If you need or want a hot steamy
read than I suggest buying Sex, Straight Up by Kathleen O'Reilly. Catherine Montefiore thinks she's all alone in
the Hamptons, but she runs into Daniel O'Sullivan and decides that one weekend
of hot, steamy sex is just what she needs. But Catherine is getting ready to
face a heavy scandal and seeing as her Irish hunk is there, why can't he rescue
her, better yet, why can't she have another 48 hours of him?
Another great read from Harlequin Blaze is French Kissing by Nancy Warren. Kimi Renton
is a magazine editor and a top fashionista in Manhattan, New York. She's also
one of the most beautiful people at the annual couture week in Paris. This year
she will have to play undercover with Holden MacGreggor to bust an
international theft ring. But once they are caught will the fun be over in
Paris?
Harlequin Historical offers The Wanton Bride by Mary Brendan. Mark Hunter and Emily Beaumont have teamed up to
prevent a family scandal. Mark wants Emily for her wit and
her beauty, but soon learns she really is in danger. But Emily knows her secret
could change any man's mind from wanting her.
This month Harlequin Presents offers readers the opportunity to Browse the
Book. You can flip through the first pages of
any of the 12 releases. In
Bed with her Italian Boss by Kate Hardy is the first book I chose to browse. Fran is out of a
job, but after stopping off at one of her favorite places, Giovanni's, for
coffee, she finds a job. Of course this job comes with a catch. She has to
pretend she is her boss, Giovanni Mazetti's girlfriend! Before she knows what
is happening their very public kisses and embraces become private. Soon Fran
can't help but wish that Giovanni really felt this way about her.
Another book from Harlequin Presents is The Sheikh's Chosen Queen
by Jane Porter. Jeslyn
knew Sharif Fehr in London, therefore she knew of his reputation as a playboy. Now
she's in his land and has to follow his rules, but she's the only one who has
the courage to stand up to him. Sharif takes it in stride, for he knows that
despite all odds, Jesslyn will submit to the most important command he will
give her, to be his wife.
Silhouette Desire also offers Browse the Book for its six releases in
April. Satin & A Scandalous
Affair by Jan
Colley is definitely one of my favorite releases this month. Danielle
Hammond has an opportunity to design a necklace for one of the world's highest-
priced diamonds. Quinn Everard dares to use blackmail to get Danielle to take
the job. From his point of view no other designer had the skills or the looks
to be his next mistress. As if it weren't horrible enough that Danielle was
forced to take a job she didn't want, she was now being forced to live in
Quinn's Australian home to complete the piece. Now Quinn has her in his
home he must keep her at arms length and in her bed. If he isn't careful
Danielle could uncover his dark secrets.
There were so many books this month coming from Harlequin and Silhouette, it's
almost impossible to break down my favorites to fit into one column. So be sure
to check out www.eharlequin.com for
many more releases from all lines for the month of April.
Happy reading! And please leave any comments and or suggestions you may have.
Thanks,
Tonya
