Re: Christmas On Mimosa Lane (7:16am December 27, 2012):

wasn't in the mood to celebrate christmas for my husband and I are seperated, but thats not fair for my 2 college age kids, so I decided just to spend Christmas Eve with them, making homemade pasta with my daughter, my son and his girlfriend had dinner with us, even though the time with him wasn't very long but spent it talking about school and other things-off he went to his girlfriends house and his dad'slearning how to share shouldn't of been hard for me for I had to do the same when I was their age for my parents divorced,too..I made the day special and kept my promised about beginning nice, even though my son's attitude towards me wasn't very nice until I decided to brush it off-then he said he was sorry! On christmas day I decided to serve a meal at this place that servesd a meal for people who are alone or homeless, name annie's place, met some nice people and had alot of fun! My daughter and I came home feeling so good helping others and a good meal to boot!

Re: Against The Odds (2:12pm December 19, 2012):

One tradition I make sure that my kids would enjoy is making homemade pasta, at an early age I would sit at my nonnie's table with my mom and auntie and we'd make freash pasta for Christmas Eve dinner, for we would have spaghetti for christmas dinner. So now that my kids are in college my daughter and I made fresh noodles over thansgiving weekend for our dinner on christmas...they asked me if we were making them this year...we sent some to my dad since he stopped making them for he doesn't want to cook anymore,he was very happy that I'm still carrying on the tradition...

I have dyslexia which I've overcome but its still a challenge especially if I'm over tired but it never stopped me from reading, and when I had it they didn't know how to treat me, my mom and a good 4th grade teacher helped me...so I just keep working hard, thats my motto...don't ever give-up! Love to win this package!

He's still my brothers friend and he's remarried but was a rock when my mom died, he was there for all of us. He's so sweet! And were good friends...
