The Only Man a Desperate Mother Can Trust...

Investigating a cold case is SWAT cop Mitch Bradford's worst nightmare—especially when it involves a kidnapped infant. But thanks to an injury, he'll have to settle for following Emily Wentworth instead of breaking down doors and cuffing criminals.

The prime suspect in a mysterious disappearance, Emily has always claimed she was framed. And as he earns the trust of the incredibly desperate—and unbelievably beautiful—mother, every instinct tells Mitch to believe her. Then new evidence unfolds, revealing an elaborate conspiracy and forcing Emily into a deadly spotlight.

Now, torn between loyalty to the badge and his promises to Emily, Mitch may have to make the ultimate sacrifice if he's to bring her little boy home.

Re: Finding Her Son

I love fast-paced, high-stakes adventure with a love story thrown in. HA Thnaks for the chance to win this book!!
(Bonnie Capuano 9:58am May 27, 2012)

Love the list. My number one item for a hero is that they not be perfect but they have some kind of code/honor to them.
(
Pam Howell 11:11am May 27, 2012)

I agree with all of your list and Pam's as well. I would add a sense of humor and
a bit of patience. You write my kind of man. Thank goodness I got mine
already.
(
Sandra Spilecki 11:47am May 27, 2012)

Hi Bonnie...good luck on the giveaway. I love fast-paced,
high stakes adventure, too! Love reading it, and now am so
blessed to be writing it. Thanks for stopping by!
(
Robin Perini 11:47am May 27, 2012)

HI Pam! Thanks! I agree wholeheartedly with you on the
code/honor part. Nothing is more attractive than someone who
knows who they are! Good luck!
(
Robin Perini 11:48am May 27, 2012)

Hi Sandra. A bit of patience. Excellent character trait! I
have to add it to my list. I hope my heroes are everything
you dream of. And major congrats on your real-life hero!
(
Robin Perini 11:49am May 27, 2012)

I love to read Christmas books! I can't wait to read this one!
(
Stephanie Briggs 12:18pm May 27, 2012)

After reading your list I love them all but #2 hits really home with
me. I yet to find that type man in my life ;-( but a chance to win
would make it all much easier!!! Thank you for the opportunity.
(
Amy Baldwin 12:23pm May 27, 2012)

Adventure and suspense that I can take to my dreams! Thanks for the fabulous reads!
(
Cathie McElwee 12:40pm May 27, 2012)

Perfect hero? Not being perfect - a few flaws make a man
interesting. But a sense of humor is a must.
(
Diane Sallans 12:53pm May 27, 2012)

I think I'd better combine my posts or we'll have WAY too
many. So hear it goes!

Stephanie--ditto on Christmas books. This one is kind of
tense, but I hope that the love of family and Christmas
comes through.

Amy--ditto on number two. I did have the wonderful
opportunity of having an evening listening to sappy music
with candles and hugs all around. Small details make those
moments even more special.

Cathie--what a sweet thing to say. You've made my day and I
REALLY appreciate the kind words. That's all I want to do.

Diane--Totally agree on sense of humor! I didn't include it,
did I? Another must addition to the list!

Thanks for commenting you guys! You're awesome!
(
Robin Perini 1:02pm May 27, 2012)

Robin, Great post! I pretty much have to insist on Confidence (#4) in my heroes. They have to have earned it through actually being awesome, of course, but there's nothing sexier than a man at the top of his game.

Woot!
(
Jennifer McGowan 1:07pm May 27, 2012)

Hey, Jennifer! Number four is one of my faves, too! Agree on
a man at the top of his game, too. Yum-worthy! LOL. Thanks
for stopping by!
(
Robin Perini 4:02pm May 27, 2012)

Flaws are nice to see in a less-than-perfect hero. Makes me
think I may have a chance at him, yet.
(
Mary Hay 4:30pm May 27, 2012)

Perfection is highly sought out for my heroes as well, IRL and in the pages of a book...*sigh*
Good luck and happy writing!
(
Tracie Travis 5:21pm May 27, 2012)

The perfect hero is less than perfect. He needs a sense of humour and the ability to communicate efficiently.
(
Cheryl McEwen 5:32pm May 27, 2012)

They desire to be desired.
(
John Fry 5:56pm May 27, 2012)

Hi Mary...I SO agree with you there! A perfect man is
too...well perfect!

Thanks for stopping by, Tracie. It's great to see a fellow
writer here.

Hi Cheryl. Love the sense of humor. I'm definitely adding
that. Communication. A must have. My next list will be at
least 10.

John...five words that say everything! Thank you!
(
Robin Perini 6:18pm May 27, 2012)

Love the list. I like the one about the smile especially. It's exactly how I feel!
(
May Pau 6:33pm May 27, 2012)

Great excerpt!
(
Leanne Gagnon 7:14pm May 27, 2012)

I agree with your list, and sexy too.
(
Robin Daily 7:21pm May 27, 2012)

I love the list especially Number 1. No one is perfect. It would draw the anyone crazy and destroy the HEA.
(
Kai Wong 7:36pm May 27, 2012)

I love your list especially Number One. No is perfect. It would drive us crazy especially the heroine. There won't be any HEA.
(
Kai Wong 7:38pm May 27, 2012)

We can't have our heroes perfect---not even the superheroes are perfect---they flaws make them human and loveable.
(
Sue Farrell 7:56pm May 27, 2012)

I don't care about most stuff, but I love it when they are so
consumed with love for the heroine that no one else exists for
them. Fidelity is a major turn on for me.
(
Fiona Marsden 8:39pm May 27, 2012)

I have to apologize for not hearing about you sooner!! After reading your posting, I must admit that you put a lot of thought into what the perfect man consists of. Your awards confirm that!! I do want to touch on a couple of points, though. A man's eyes do have to be expressive. It's the first thing that I tend to look at, since they tell me a lot about them. Just having smiling eyes isn't quite enough, although it helps. Not being perfect is great too, but many of them don't have the guts to admit it. I admit to my Husband that I'm not perfect, but you'll never hear those words uttered from his lips, nor have I heard them uttered from any man I've encountered!! I also like an easy-going nature - a good sense of humor. Other than that, you hit the nail on the head!! I would love to read your latest book, and until then, will be looking for the other ones to get caught up on what I've been missing. Congratulations on your latest. The excerpt took my breath away!!
(
Peggy Roberson 9:19pm May 27, 2012)

Perfect hero... someone with honor, a sense of humor, and good looking would not hurt ;)
(
Colleen Conklin 9:27pm May 27, 2012)

Wow, these sound like fantastic reading books. I cannot wait
to read Finding Her Son. Thanks for the great contest and the
great opportunity to win too. Thanks, Cecilia CECE
(
Cecilia Dunbar Hernandez 10:41pm May 27, 2012)

I love the Intrigue books. Looking forward to reading your new ones coming out later this year.
(
Brenda Rumsey 11:01pm May 27, 2012)

Hi Peggy--I loved your post. And you are right. There is a
reason a person's eyes are windows to their soul! Do you
think that confidence makes it difficult to admit to flaws?
Perhaps... Easy-going nature. An interesting one. And
perhaps easy-going in some aspects, not so much in others.
And the consensus is I definitely need to add sense of humor
to the list. I truly appreciate your thoughtful post, and
thank you so much for the kind words about the Excerpt! I
hope you enjoy my stories.

Colleen--honor...a wonderful word that contains so many
layers. Thank for giving me a wonderful addition to the
list. Good looking...yeah, you're right. It doesn't hurt :-)

Cecilia--I'm so glad the books sound good. I hope you enjoy
the stories! Thanks SO much for stopping by!

Brenda--I hope you like the stories. I'm so pleased you
posted. It means the world!
(
Robin Perini 11:17pm May 27, 2012)

can't wait to read your new book thanks for the pleasure you give us with your writing
(
Lilian Gamble 12:22pm May 28, 2012)

your books sound really good. I do so enjoy the INTRIGUE books. will be adding to my TBR list (unless I win!!!). thanks for the draw:)
(
Barbara Studer 12:23pm May 28, 2012)

Keeping with the be happy with what you have is a big thing.
(
Darci Paice 12:31pm May 28, 2012)

I agree with your five attributes of a perfect hero. Would only add, trustworthy, sense of humor, broad shoulders, narrow hips, and turquoise eyes. Gosh, now we have described my very own hero.
(
Linda Skillen 12:38pm May 28, 2012)

All your hero's qualities are also on my list, but I would add confidence. A man with self-confidence is sexy.
(
Monica Vargo 7:02am May 28, 2012)

All of the above, I think you have thought of everything.
(
Barbara Hanson 8:34am May 28, 2012)

Love the chance to win your book and it fits my way of thinking. Being abandoned at birth 65 years ago I love stories related to children finding parents and parents looking for children.I was in touch with my mother when I was 58 years old for the first time ever and she recently passed away but we never got to see each other. sue Leech [email protected]
(
Susan Leech 8:43am May 28, 2012)

A great list. I like my heroes to be intelligent & witty.
(
Mary Preston 8:45am May 28, 2012)

Well, my perfect man has to be able to make me laugh. And in turn, at times I want to be able to make him laugh. He has to be intelligent or we'd run out of conversation quite quickly. Going along with that, he'll be a reader.
This man has to have self-confidence but life can knock us all back at times; a totally confident man would be bull-headed and would not need a supportive partner.
He must also have physical confidence as I don't want to always be the only one putting out fires, standing up to bullies and playing sports etc. Some 'office successes' are not able to act in danger because they never have.
And no jealousy. That would be a big turn-off.
Oops, looks like I found one of those guys already. Sorry girls, he's happily married to me!
(
Clare O'Beara 9:10am May 28, 2012)

Oh Robin what a perfect list! And my favorite expression now is sigh-worthy.
Have a great holiday.
Pat Pascale
(
Patricia (Pat) Pascale 9:28am May 28, 2012)

Love your list! And the book looks amazing. I'd love to read it!
(
Monica Tillery 9:49am May 28, 2012)

I picked up her book at the library the other day Finding your Son for it was on the new book list also was trying to find a new author and the book sounded good, and it surely was...wanted to read some other book of yours but this was the only one at my library, anyways, really wnat to read the Perfect Man so it would be nice to win it but if not its on top of my wanting to read list the next time I go book shopping which is about once a month or more often whnever I can..I love looking into some guys guys and they smile back at you-the guy I'm friends with his eyes sparkle and you get losted in them and I totally forget what I'm talking about...he makes me laugh and vice vera for i'm going thru a rough divorce so were taking things slow...and he could get any woman but he keeps calling so thats a good thing..love intrigue books and thanks for the contest...have a nice memorial day!
(
Carole Fiore 9:53am May 28, 2012)

Lillian--what a wonderfully sweet comment. Thank you. I love
writing, and reading, so my hope is that I give others the
enjoyment I receive from a wonderful story.

Barbara S--ditto on the Intrigue books! Thank you so much
for stopping by. I do hope you enjoy the story (either way)
:-)

Darci--you are so right. Finding happiness no matter where
you are is a gift.

Linda--I was falling in love with your hero with every
additional trait...and then found out he was YOURS! LOVE
it! And congratulations on finding the perfect man for you!

Monica--Confidence is a must have. I really like the idea of
adding that to my list as well. And I agree a confident man
is a sexy man!

Barbara H.--Aww...thank you for liking the list. And
boy...all of the above would make a perfect package :-).

Mary--intelligence is a big turn-on for me as well.
Witty...now THAT is a shiver-maker. :-)

Clara--I love your list. Making you laugh, intelligence,
confidence, strength, and no jealous...oooooooo....and YOU
got him. Darn it! I was ready to go find him :-).

Pat--thanks. I don't know where the expression came from,
but I love it, too! I also hope you have a great holiday.

Monica--Thanks for the kind words. I do hope you like it
when you get a chance to read it!

Carole--Thank you so much for picking up the book at the
library! How sweet. I hope some of my others end up there.
Take care of yourself during this difficult time. I'll send
thoughts your way. Have a nice Memorial Day!
(
Robin Perini 10:06am May 28, 2012)

Thanks everyone for stopping by yesterday, I know it was a
holiday, so I really appreciate all the kind words since so
many are busy!

I'm definitely adding many of your suggestions to my list! I
knew you'd come through. So now we've got the 'perfect man'
recipe!

The books sound good, I'd love to read them.
(
Wilma Frana 10:40am May 28, 2012)

I really like how you think of a man that everyone could
relate to wanting to read about. makes the book enjoyable for
everyone.
(
Rachael Whitzman 10:52am May 28, 2012)

I have never read any of your books but this one could be the start of a wonderful realationship in reading!!
(
Jean Benedict 11:19am May 28, 2012)

I have the PERFECT man and he is my husband for over 42 years!
He's caring and helpful and always stands on myside through thick and thin.
I Thank God for him!
(
Cilfton Wade 11:39am May 28, 2012)

Mary--I love Intrigues, too. I read them long before I
dreamed of writing one. I hope you like my stories.

Denise--good luck in the drawing. It's so nice to hear you
enjoy reading.

Wilma--thanks for commenting. I'm glad the excerpt and blurb
intrigued you (pun intended LOL).

Rachael--thanks for the kind words. I really try hard to
make my heroes something special. I fall in love with all of
them a little bit :-).

Jean--what kind words. Thank you. You've made my day!

Cilfton--42 years! How blessed. A man to stand by your side
is such a wonderful gift, and for all those years. Truly, an
inspiration!
(
Robin Perini 12:34pm May 28, 2012)

Love your books!!! My hero would be a kind, gentle caring man who loves me for me and never hesitates to help other
(
Lisa Avila 1:00pm May 28, 2012)

I couldn't agree more about the flaws. Our flaws make us unique.
(
Stacie Deramo 1:33pm May 28, 2012)

Lisa--thank you. I'm just grinning ear to ear right now. I
love the man who loves us for who we are. Accepts us as we
are. I also love a hero who sees through the masks we all
wear. Who sees the real us! And who never hesitates to
help...now that is a true hero!

Stacie--I know what you mean about the flaws. Being unique
makes us special.

What great comments! Thanks guys for continuing the thread!
(
Robin Perini 2:26pm May 28, 2012)

A perfect hero...wow...someone who has the nerve to trust their instincts - someone patient and accepting - and not to mention has a good sense of humor! I am still looking for my own perfect hero!! LOL
(
Felicia Ciaudelli 3:51pm May 28, 2012)

Finding My Son sounds great! I'll have to put it on my to-read list!
(
Joanne Schultz 9:23pm May 28, 2012)

Felicia--trusting their instincts. That's a great one!
Patience...another good one. Accepting...I just LOVE that.
Sense of humor...has to have! I hope you find your perfect
hero!!!

Joanne--thanks for the kind words. I hope you enjoy the
story. Thanks SO much for stopping by!
(
Robin Perini 9:29pm May 28, 2012)

the perfect hero hmmm .. to me one who loves as well as he
protects .. will do anything to protect , cherish and for
her ..
one that usually has come from a jaded heart and its the
heroine who makes him see what love ios really like
and being tall dark and handsome helps (and can be either
mortal or immortal .. historic or not)
(
Rachael Kennedy 2:10am May 29, 2012)

Rachael, I love your comments...A lover and a protector!
Someone who cherishes. And someone who the heroine brings
out the best in.

LOVE THAT! The best heroes learn and grow from the heroine,
in my opinion. What a great comment. Thanks for stopping by!
(
Robin Perini 8:34am May 29, 2012)

Hi Robin! My hero is my husband. He is loyal, has a great sense of humor, does lots of things just for me to make me happy, is very romantic, and is my Rock of Gibralter.
(
Cathy Phillips 11:18am May 29, 2012)

My idea of a near perfect man is someone who is secure in what and who he is. He is caring, thoughtful and loyal to those he loves..
(
Pat Freely 11:55am May 29, 2012)

the perfect man should have brains and humor
(
Shirley Nienkark 1:02pm May 29, 2012)

a great voice - If I'm going to spend the rest of my life
hearing it I better enjoy it!
(
Tava H 1:03am May 30, 2012)

Cathy--you just made me go awwww....loyalty is a must have.
But I love that he is your Rock! Sigh-worthy, I'm thinking!

Pat--you summed it up so well! Caring and thoughtful are
words that mean so much! Thanks for adding them to the list.

Shirley--brains...I do love a man with brains! And humor is
CLEARLY something I must add to my list.

Tava--a great voice...I must admit I do get a little quivery
when a great voice melts over me like dark chocolate.
Sigh...

Thanks again everyone! I had an absolute blast with
everyone. Hope we can do it again soon!
(
Robin Perini 9:40am May 31, 2012)

The perfect man is sweet, approachable and a little mysterious.
