Kate L. Mary | Playlist for THE LIST

facebooktwitterblog

I love putting together playlists for my books. There have been nights when I’ve
spent hours listening to Pandora or searching iTunes for the perfect song to
express how my characters are feeling, and other times a song just starts
playing and it hits me how perfect it is for the current project I’m working on.

1. I Won’t Give Up by Jason Mraz β€œWe’ve got a lot to learn. God knows we’re worth it. No, I won’t give up.” 2. Hold On by Phillip Phillips β€œThey say you’ll find yourself one of these days.” 3. Gravity by Sara Bareilles β€œSomething always brings me back to you. It never takes too long. No matter what I say or do, I still feel you here β€˜til the moment I’m gone.” 4. Ashes and Wine by A Fine Frenzy β€œDon’t know what to do anymore. I’ve lost the only love with fighting for.” 5. Gonna Get Over You by Sara Bareilles β€œI’m not the girl that I intend to be, Oh darling, just you wait and see.” 6. The Words by Christina Perri β€œAnd all of the steps that led me to you, and all of the hell I had to walk through. But I wouldn’t trade a day for the chance to say, my love, I’m in love with you.” 7. Feels Like Home by Chantal Kreviazuk β€œIf you knew how much this moment means to me and how long I’ve waited for your touch. If you knew how happy you are making me. I never thought I’d love anyone so much.” 8. I Love You by Avril Lavigne β€œThe reason I love you is you. Being you. Just you. Yeah the reason I love you is all that we’ve been through. And that’s why I love you.” Normally when I share a playlist with my readers, I like to add a little explanation after it. With THE LIST though, I’m afraid that would give away too much about the story. There are a lot of ups and downs the characters have to go through before they reach their HEA ending, but I can promise that all the pain and struggle is worth it.

About THE LIST

The List. Twenty things every girl must do before she turns twenty. . .

Body piercing

Get drunk

First kiss

But thanks to her crazy, over-protective father, Annie Roth is way behind
schedule. Good thing it’s her first semester of college, because Annie is more
than ready to start checking off items. . .

Fake ID

Skinny dipping

Road trip!!!

Where it gets complicated? Ryan and Chris. Best friends. Both sweet, funny,
totally hot, and totally into Annie.

But there are some things on The List that Annie only wants to do with Ryan. . .

Lose it

Get Heart Broken

Fall in love

Re: Kate L. Mary | Playlist for THE LIST

I have to compliment you on your song choices. Those are
powerful songs, so if they were used for your latest book, it
should be a good one!! The cover is smokin' hot, too!!
Congratulations on your book, and it's bound to do well!!
