S.G. Redling | Supernatural Power Couples

Maintaining a successful career while maintaining a successful relationship is
difficult so when we see a partnership like Brad and Angie or Beyoncѐ and
Jay-Z
we dub them β€œsuper” or β€œpower” couples for their ability to balance
relationships, parenthood, high-profile careers, and a superstar lifestyle.

But what happens when you add supernatural abilities to the mix? Well, you add
whole other dimension and challenge to the relationship! These partnerships
between super-human couples face a lot of adversary, but sometimes together they
can do extraordinary things! In honor of these great couples, I’d like to dub a
new term - β€œsupernatural power” couples.

Here’s a look of some of my favorite β€œsupernatural power” couples found in book
series:

1. Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger (Weasley)

This pair attended Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry together and fought beside each other against the Dark Lord on multiple occasions. In a classic case of opposites attract, this young witch and wizard brought out the best in one another showing that even supernatural power couples can have their obstacles and fights, but overcoming these challenges makes them stand out as a super couple. (The Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling)

2. Rosalie Hale and Emmett Cullen

Despite being a secondary couple in the Twilight series, this vampire duo makes their strength, compassion, and ruthlessness known to all friends and enemies who cross their path making them a supernatural power couple. (The Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer)

3. Venom and Evelyn Foxe

Dragon-warrior Venom with his toxic touch makes an electrifying connection with mortal Evelyn Foxe in the aftermath of biological weapon. All kinds of β€˜chemistry’ here! (Dragonfury series by Coreene Callahan)

4. Elena Gilbert and Stefan Salvatore

This supernatural couple shows readers the true definition of soul mates, sharing an intense connection right from the moment they met. Their powerful love for one another sees them through hard times even before Elena receives her supernatural vampire abilities. (The Vampire Diaries series by L.J. Smith)

5. Tomas Desara and Stell

Coming from two completely different backgrounds in the secretive Nahan community, the idea of Tomas and Stell being together seems bizarre. Yet, Tomas and Stell have a fierce connection with one another. Their super abilities to charm humans and their super strength make them a powerful couple. (The Nahan series by S.G. Redling)

6. Sookie Stackhouse and Sam Merlotte

While it took a while for these two to get together (13 books to be exact), they’re sure to be great. A fairy and a shape-shifter together will always have a little magic in their lives, but Sam gives Sookie a more normal and easy lifestyle and the HEA she’s been waiting for. (The Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris)

So what are some of your favorite β€œsupernatural power” couples in literature?

About OURSELVES

They have always been among us.

An ancient, enigmatic race, the Nahan have protected their secret world by
cultivating the myths of fanged, bloodsucking monsters that haunt legends. Yet
they walk through our world as our coworkers and our neighbors, hiding in plain
sight and coexisting in peace. They survive…and they prosper.

A shy young dreamer, Tomas wanders through his life with help from his good
friends and influential family on the ruling Council. Now, he’s decided his
future lies with the Nahan’s most elite class: the mysterious Storytellers. But
his family is troubled by his new choiceβ€”and by his new girlfriend, Stell, a
wild, beautiful, and deadly outcast from a fanatical Nahan sect.

As Tomas descends into the dark wonders of the Nahan’s most powerful culture,
Stell answers her own calling as an exceptional assassin. But when a lethal
conspiracy threatens their destinies, Tomas and Stell must unite their
remarkable talents against the strongestβ€”and most sinisterβ€”of their kind.

Re: S.G. Redling | Supernatural Power Couples

I enjoyed reading your posting, and you gave a lot of good
examples. Your book sounds like a great read to usher in
Spring with. I already put it on my TBR list.
Congratulations on your latest book, and I'm sure it will do
well!!
