Katee Robert | Dinner With Will: Part Three

bookbubamazontwittergoodreadsfacebookInstagram

The first two books in my contribution to the Serve series, MISTAKEN BY FATE and BETTING ON FATE, deal with twin brothers, Garrett and Will Reaver. They kind of look like Norse gods and are opposites in a lot of different ways, but LORDY they were both hot as hell to write. This scene happens between the books, and it was something I felt was really needed, because Ridley and Will never really addressed the fact that she was trying to seduce him the night she accidentally seduced his twin. Enjoy!

*********

She held the phone to her ear for a full minute after her hung up, clinging to that last connection. Ridley was so busy wishing Garrett home, her buzzer went off twice before she realized what it was. โ€œThat was quick.โ€ She climbed to her feet and buzzed whoever it was in.

When she opened the door, though, she didnโ€™t expect it to be Will. She stood there, mouth hanging open. โ€œUhโ€ฆโ€

He lifted the pot he held. โ€œAs Iโ€™m sure youโ€™re aware, my brother can be extremely persuasive.โ€

Oh, yeah, she was aware. What she didnโ€™t get was why heโ€™d sent Will here. Most of the awkwardness caused by her initial plan to seduce Will had passed in the last few months, but that didnโ€™t mean they were anywhere near as close as theyโ€™d been.

Maybe now was the time to rectify that.

She stepped back and held the door while he walked into the apartment. โ€œHow are you?โ€

โ€œGood. Though Iโ€™m having work difficulties.โ€ He walked straight to her stove and set the pot down. She watched him turn on the burner and then grab a wooden spoon from the stand on the counter and stir it. As soon as he took the lid off, the most delicious smell permeated the room.

She realized she was still standing there like an idiot with the door open and hurried to shut it. This wasnโ€™t weird. It wasnโ€™t. This was her having dinner with her future brother-in-law.

The same future brother-in-law whoโ€™d sheโ€™d set out to seduce.

Her face flamed, and she prayed heโ€™d be too polite to comment on it. Garrett wouldnโ€™t have been, but Will was cut from a different clothโ€”at least on the surface. True to form, he glanced at her face and then went back to stirring. Okay, she could do this. She cleared her throat and started searching her cupboards for the wine she knew was in there somewhere. Tonight definitely called for wine.

BETTING ON FATE is the fourth novel in the Serve series containing the first Brazen Books mรฉnage scene, and the second written by Katee Robert. Fans of Tessa Baileyโ€™s EXPOSED BY FATE or Diane Albertsโ€™ FALLING FOR THE GROOMSMAN will love this sexy, erotic romance by NYT Bestselling Author Katee Robert! Read the exclusive short story, DINNER WITH WILL, that shows what happens to Ridley and Will after MISTAKEN BY FATE.

About BETTING ON FATE

The man she should want, or the man she cravesโ€ฆ

This time, all bets are off...

Penelope Carson loves to steal clients from Will Reaver. Yet something in her business nemesis's icy blue eyes makes Penelope...nervous. It certainly doesn't help that the man is the living embodiment of a Norse god. A controlled, powerful Norse god. Which she really should have remembered before she made a bet with himโ€”because losing means becoming Will's personal submissive for a week.

There's nothing Will would like more than to have Penelope kneeling before him in complicit submission, her fiery dark eyes inviting him in. Challenging him. But their bet takes Will and Penelope deeper than either of them have ever been. Where control is an illusion, and boundaries are pushed aside. And where hearts become the stakes in a game that neither Dominant nor submissive can winโ€ฆ

Just purchased this book; we have that major cold front
happening here in Va., need a steamy book to keep things warm
(since a real hero is AWOL right now.) Doesn't mean I am not
interested in winning the GC, there's always your next
book....
