The International Thriller Writers (ITW) may not officially have been around
long--why? That's a mystery. Its members are some of the best known writers in
the genre who only formally came together in 2004 after deciding to shake off
the mantle of “mystery writers”. Now, like the fast-paced books they write,
this group has already published a collection of over 30 stories edited by James
Patterson and hosted their first annual conference - Thrillerfest. Thrillerfest
was held in July and the award winners are this week’s theme. Special attention
was also given to Clive Cussler who won a “Master Thriller” award for his huge
body of work and many contributions to the genre. We’ve also included a few
picks sure to be in the running for next year’s awards!!
