Saturday Smackdown Sexy Brothers

Does sexy run in families? On television and in novels, it certainly seems
to. Numerous romantic series focus on families of great looking men with
vibrant, desirable personalities. On television, we lust after them, often
comparing the brothers and what makes them hawt and hawter. For today's
smackdown, we are going to pick the sexiest brothers. You, of course, are
welcome to nominate brothers not on this list. Here are some of the sexiest
brothers I've watched on television or read about in books.

The Salvatore Brothers

Damon and Stefan Salvatore make dead look good. Damon is the wild child,
cynical, dark and dangerous. Stefan is the kinder brother, the brooder who
lets his past haunt him even as he tries to reconcile his vampiric nature to
living as a human.

The Winchester Brothers

Raised as hunters by their dad, Dean and Sam Winchester battle darkness in
others and in themselves. Dean knows no other life and acts as much a father
figure to his baby brother as he does older brother. He is driven to continue
the hunt and keep it going. Sam tried to run away from that life, to live a
normal one, but the yellow-eyed demon came for his girlfriend and drove him
back to the life on the road with his brother.

McDoctors on Grey's

Derek Shepherd and Mark Sloan are the best of friends and their relationship
has certainly survived many knocks over the years, particularly the one
involving Sloan sleeping with Addison. However, McDreamy and McSteamy need
each other. They have different ways of approaching problems and life, but
they balance each other well. Currently dating a pair of sisters, they may end
up as brothers after all.

The Katallakis Brothers

Vane, Fang and Fury are three brothers from the same litter of Katagaria and
Arcadian bloodlines. Powerful in their own rights, they are extremely devoted
to the women in their lives. Vane is the oldest of the three and the most
powerful. He is gifted as a Sentinel, which means messing with him, or his
family is a huge mistake.

The Buchanan Brothers Popular leading men in Julie Garwood's contemporary novels, the Buchanans are deeply involved in law enforcement. Nick and Alec are both in the FBI while Dylan is a police officer and Theo is a federal attorney. Their younger brothers have yet to make it into their own novels, but Michael is in Navy Seal training and that's sexy. The Walker Brothers

Kevin, Tommy and Justin are strong brothers who have their own issues. Kevin's
gay, Tommy's on the run from his mistakes and Justin's a struggling veteran of
Iraq coping with his drug abuse in the past and medical school in his future.
They're devoted to each other and even at their craziest; you know they'll be
there when they're needed.

The Awesome Brothers

Chuck Bartowski and his brother-in-law Devon Woodcomb are close, particularly
since Devon learned Chuck's secret. But even before Devon knew Chuck was a
spy, he loved his wife's kid brother and looked out for him. Chuck nicknamed
him "awesome" for all the awesome things the doctor does, but Devon is a good
person and so is Chuck.
