Kathryne Kennedy | What type of shape-shifter are you?

A reader commented that after finishing one of my books, she started looking at people differently. Started noticing that many people reminded her of certain animals. And then she had fun guessing what type of shape-shifter they might be.

So let me back up for a moment. My Victorian fantasy romance series, The Relics Of Merlin, features all shorts of shape-shifters. In Enchanting the Lady, my hero is a were-lion. In Double Enchantment, my hero is a were-stallion and his sister is a were-swan. In my newest release, Enchanting the Beast, the hero is a were-wolf, and my heroine’s assistant is a were-snake.

Each of my characters retain some physical and mental traits of their were- animals even in human form. So my were-lion has a full head of golden hair and golden eyes, and rubs against his chosen mate. My were-wolf has shaggy white- blond hair and dark predatory eyes. My were-swan has a long elegant neck. My were-snake has a tendency to shed her skin.

So what type of were-animal are you? What type would you want to be? How many people do you know who remind you of certain animals (and unknown to you, might even be shape-shifters?)

Available May 1st at your favorite bookstore: Enchanting the Beast~

In the third book of the Relics of Merlin series, ghost-hunter Philomena Radcliff comes to Grimspell castle to rid the residence of spirits, but she finds most haunting of all a reclusive were-wolf suspected of murder.

Re: Kathryne Kennedy | What type of shape-shifter are you?

Well, if you look up my name in the dictionary, it is a cat, kind of like an ocelot, indigenous to South America, so I guess I would be a were-cat. And I don't know about you, but I think this explains why so many dog owners look like their pets!
Margay
(Margay Roberge 6:51am April 28, 2009)

It very well could be, Margay. :}

I think I would like to be a were-owl I already have the glasses and white hair!
(Karin Tillotson 12:20pm April 28, 2009)

Owls are gorgeous with their large eyes and soft feathers. Nice choice!
(Kathryne Kennedy 12:57pm April 28, 2009)

I would definitely be a were-tiger!
(Kelli Jo Calvert 1:03pm April 28, 2009)

I think a were-cat of some sort, but a smaller one like a Mainecoon cat with lots of bushy hair. Yep that's me.
(Elizabeth Parzino 1:10pm April 28, 2009)

Woohoo, Kelli Jo! You have a very lucky significant other!

Purrfect, Elizabeth! :}

Oh, I know that I am a cat. Just a plain old tabby cat! I have a problem with nuzzling people and nudging their hands when they don't pet me. I love to lie in the sun and I love all whom I choose to love and ignore the rest of the world! LOL!
(Tami Winbush 7:05pm April 28, 2009)

Maybe a piranha!
(LuAnn Morgan 7:05pm April 28, 2009)

I'd definetly be a lion! :)
(Beverly Bennett 8:15pm April 28, 2009)

I would probably have to say snake. Never been able to tan at all, so I'm peeling from burning all the time. Or a cat, I'm always scratching peoples back (in the non-sexual way) and the hubbys back, during those love times. I DO have a were-monkey for a child.
(Daun Ann Korty 8:16pm April 28, 2009)

How about a jaguar?? Sounds exotic and cute! :)
(Rachael Grime 8:31pm April 28, 2009)

Never really thought about looking at
people that way. Now I'll have a hard
time not doing it. My husband would
be a bear, our son a puma. The
personality doesn't match, but I'd like
to be a bird. I'll be looking at my
coworkers in a different way
tomorrow. Look forward to reading
your books.

I’m sorry I wasn’t able to comment each time someone posted, so this is a bit long. :}

You sound awesome, Tami. I wish I was a tabby cat.
Sounds kinda scary, LuAnn. :}
I did research on lions, Beverly. Wonderful creatures.
LOL, Daun. When my son was little, I swore he was half-monkey.
A jaguar sounds very cool, Rachael.
Oh, Patricia. You’ll have to let me know what kind of shape-shifters your coworkers are! Sounds like such fun!

Thank you all for stepping into my magical world with me today. Such fabulous, interesting answers!
All my best,
Kathryne
(Kathryne Kennedy 12:48pm April 29, 2009)

It would be a were-lion. My husband & I both love lions.
(Tammy Garcia 5:55am April 29, 2009)

So do I, Tammy. I think that's why my first here was a were-lion.
(Kathryne Kennedy 11:14am April 29, 2009)

Oh I already know I'm a were-cat. Sleek and black with golden-green eyes. My 16 year old daughter is definitely a were-white tiger. My mom is a barn owl. And my dad, well, probably a tom cat. My brother seems to be a horse and my sister is a cat as well.
(Libby Talley 4:35pm April 29, 2009)

Thanks so much for playing, Libby! You and your family sound wonderful.
(Kathryne Kennedy 7:54pm April 29, 2009)

Kathryne, my little were-monkey turns 10 in May, I don't think she'll ever grow out of it.
(Daun Ann Korty 11:39pm April 29, 2009)

Maybe you have the next Olympic gymnast on your hands, Daun!
(Kathryne Kennedy 9:15am April 30, 2009)

Hi Kathryn!!! Yeah the new one is out! BEAST!!! I thought i'd get it with the monthly shipment with Dorchester but it wasn't one of the book club books. I must get SOON! I saw too at your site you working on the next one! Congrats!
(Cathie Morton 8:44pm May 1, 2009)

Thanks so much, Cathie! Great to hear you're looking forward to the book. Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting.
(Kathryne Kennedy 1:06am May 2, 2009)

I think I would be a ware wolf or Stallion. My reasoning being my personality as well as physical characteristics.I have excellant night vision,I'm very intuitive,and depend on my insincts and am obsrevant. Although I really need to work on speed
