Misty Simon | The luck of the Irish

Instagramgoodreadsfacebook

It’s the luck of the Irish month and I hope it brings you joy, along with some more sunshine and higher temperatures, at least here on the east coast. I’m freezing! But that’s also the perfect time to curl up with a blanket, a cup of something steamy, and a very good cozy mystery! Here are some recommendations if you’re on the hunt.

First up we have DEATH OF AN IRISH DRUID (The Dublin Driver Mysteries Book 6) by Catie Murphy

This whole series is a hoot and I highly recommend them all, but this one in particular gave me a case of the giggles and surprise and I couldn’t love that more. From the twists and turns to the main character’s humor and those cute dogs, I had a wonderful drive at the leisure of this wonderful limo driver and part time sleuth!

Next up, I am always amused and pleased to read about book events and other writers, so I have to recommend DEATH BY THE BOOK: Totally addictive cozy mystery Irish fiction (A Mercy McCarthy Mystery Book 2 by Lucy Connelly

This is a delightful series that covers all of my loves in one rollicking time. From the village to the characters to the shenanigans, I can’t get enough. It’s grippy, it’s twisty, and I totally avoided chores all day in an effort to beat the author to the end!

Lastly, but certainly not least, I’m going to recommend you start this one at the beginning! MURDER IN AN IRISH VILLAGE (An Irish Village Mystery Book 1) by Carlene O'Connor is the start of a great series that will drag you right into the Emerald Isle setting and have you wishing for a little cottage down the way. I love the setting and the way these stories are told. The twists and turns with this one are also quick and keep you hooked all the way to the last page!

And there you go! Have a good drink to sip (and not spit out during the humorous parts!) at your elbow, grab that comfy blanket, and get ready to spring into well…Spring with a delightful cozy mystery!

About Misty Simon

Misty Simon

Misty Simon always wanted to be a storyteller - preferably behind a Muppet. Animal was number one, followed closely by Sherlock Hemlock. Since that dream didn’t come true, she began writing stories to share her world with readers, one laugh at a time.

Touching people’s hearts and funny bones are two of her favorite things, and she hopes everyone at least snickers in the right places when reading her books. She lives with her husband in Central Pennsylvania where she is hard at work on her next novel or three. She loves to hear from readers so drop her a line via email.
