Tonya's Tidbits
Tonya Callihan keeps readers up-to-date with the best series romance books released by Harlequin and Silhouette.

Starting off with "Books To Be Read"

Hope everyone enjoyed their holiday season and is having a great New Year! I know I am I have a pile of "to be read" books. Most of them are left over from 2008; Harlequin definitely had a great year. But 2009 looks even better.

Here’s what’s in my pile of "to be read" books for 2009:

I admit I have a weakness for cowboys, that’s why my number one must-read is Lone Star Surrender by Lisa Renee Jones. Undercover agent Constantine Vega has spent the past three years of his life trying to bring down a drug lord. Days before the trial he finds himself on the run with Nicole Ward, federal prosecutor. But can Nicole continue to follow the rules she has set for herself? Or will she take a chance of getting her heart broken once again while on assignment.

Just about every month Tori Carrington has a book released by Blaze. I absolutely love her books and her writing style. I recommend reading any book she has written, I assure you, and you won’t regret it. If you haven’t read one of her books you are missing out on a torrid adventure. A Few Good Men promises to be another read to keep you on the edge of your seat and panting for more. This book isn’t only about one man, but four. That’s right ladies four sex men, all of which wear a uniform. Corpal Eric Armstrong is going to get to meet his penpal…but he already knows her extremely well. Corpal Eddie Cash lives his life on the edge, but now has he taken it one step too far into fatherhood. Lieutenant Matt Guerreo has always loved serving his country, but now his marriage is on the line. And finally the fourth man is Captain Brian Justice. He loves being a Marine and he loves Angela, but now he’s about to lose them both.

Harlequin Presents also won’t dissapoint us for 2009. Claimed by the Rogue Billionaire by Trish Wylie is a heart warming read. Ashling Fitzgearld is deteremined to prove she’s changed. Gabe was once Ashling’s housekeeper’s son, but he isn’t the small boy she remembers him to be. Now he is a grown man, a billionaire. Gabe decides he wants revenge by sleeping with Ashling, but now he discovers he wants so much more from her.

For all of my romantic historical readers Harlequin offers several reads this month, but the one that caught my eye was A Desirable Husband by Mary Nichols. Lady Esme Vernley and Lord Pendlebury try to have a relationship against all odds. Lady Esme’s family does not approve of Lord Pendlebury and Lord Pendlebury has been assigned a secret mission.

Enjoy all of these great reads for January and tune in later this month for even more great reads. For great savings on all Harlequin and Silhouette books head over to eHarlequin.com for discounts and deals.

Happy Reading,
Tonya

I love your column Tonya! I have been an avid reader of Harlequin Blaze and Silhouette Desire books for years. Now with your column I can keep up with the best reads!

Great Column! I went out and bought Lone Star Surrender by Lisa Renee Jones. I think she is a great writer and the book is really good.

Thanks Melissa for the suggestion. I have read the book myself and rather enjoyed it. If you have any other non-Harlequin/Silhouette books you would like to suggest you can go to www.tonyasramblings.blogspot.com on Wednesdays and we discuss books. Thanks for stopping by and for the comments ladies.
