1--What is the title of your latest release?

EDGE OF CHAOS

2--What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book?

Two storm chasers must decide what they’re willing to risk—even if it’s themselves—in this emotional, highly charged adrenaline rush of a romance that fuses Twisters with It Ends with Us.

3--How did you decide where your book was going to take place?

I was raised in the Midwest, right next to tornado alley, so I’ve always had a fascination with storms and extreme weather! Having experienced a tornado firsthand as well as the aftermath of such destruction, I couldn’t help but wonder how it would feel if those stakes were interwoven into a relationship and how it would impact it. Pair that with some experiences from my past with toxic relationships, and the idea for Edge of Chaos was born.

4--Would you hang out with your protagonist in real life?

Absolutely! I admire Blake so much for her strength and courage and her ability to forgive herself. She’d be so fun to hang with! And Dash Lexington? I think we’d be BFFs!

5--What are three words that describe your protagonist?

Courageous, compassionate, and empathetic.

6--What’s something you learned while writing this book?

The most obvious answer is the tremendous amount of research I dove into for meteorology and the storm chasing profession, but beyond that, I learned even more about emotional growth and discovering your self-worth. There are some heavy topics explored in this book through Blake’s emotionally abusive relationship, some are pulled straight from my own past, but the amount of readers I’ve had reach out to me and share their own story of escaping such a relationship has been incredibly empowering. There is a sense of community among people who’ve endured something similar to Blake’s story, and it creates this sense of solidarity that I wouldn’t trade for the world. I’m honored that so many have connected with Blake’s character and found strength and courage through her story as well. It means the world to me.

7--Do you edit as you draft or wait until you are totally done?

I do my best not to edit as I write! I find if I start, I get hung up on one particular aspect of the novel and can’t get past it. I much prefer to get the first draft completely done so I can see the entire story and figure out where it needs work most.

8--What’s your favorite foodie indulgence?

I love food, it’s legit one of my favorite things LOL. When I need to celebrate or treat myself, it’s almost always a “food reward”. Right now, I’m obsessed with these chocolate eclairs a local bakery makes! They’re heaven on a plate.

9--Describe your writing space/office!

I’m incredibly lucky to have my own office in my home and I’ve absolutely made it my own! The walls are my favorite color (hunter green) and I have all kinds of fan art framed along the walls, along with a tribute to my favorite character Loki. My desk is a mess if I’m in a heavy deadline (which feels like a constant thing lol) I also have a giant dog bed tucked into the corner of my office because my massive Irish Wolfhound is my ultimate work partner.

10--Who is an author you admire?

This is such a hard question because there are SO many! This community is simply filled with incredible authors. Molly Barlowe has been a constant supporter and also is my ultimate motivator! She inspires me to be a better writer every single day with the work she puts out! I also adore Katee Robert, Rebecca Yarros, and Cindi Madsen.

11--Is there a book that changed your life?

Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter. It’s the first book I ever remember “reading” when I was a child. It’s the book I learned to read on. I still have the ancient copy my grandmother read to me sitting on my bookshelf. I fell in love with reading the moment I heard that story and saw the illustrations. After that, I couldn’t read enough and haven’t stopped since. It sparked my passion for the written word, and I’ll always be grateful my grandmother decided to read it to me one day.

12--Tell us about when you got “the call.” (when you found out your book was going to be published)/Or, for indie authors, when you decided to self-publish.

It’s an incredible feeling when you find someone as passionate about your book as you are! After years of rejection letters and learning and growing in my craft, I finally found a home with an amazing literary agent and a wonderful publishing house. It’s been my dream since I was seven years old to be an author and I worked my entire life to get to that moment. The call meant everything to me. And now, almost ten years later, I’m so lucky to say I get to do my dream job full time. I’ll never take that for granted.

13--What’s your favorite genre to read?

I read in all sorts of genres and switch it up as often as I can, but if I had to pick ONE out of all the amazing genres out there, it would be fantasy. I love getting lost in worlds that are so far from our own reality that it’s a struggle to come back.

14--What’s your favorite movie?

Thor: Ragnarok. Loki is so great in that one.

15--What is your favorite season?

Fall all the way! I’m an autumn girl through and through.

16--How do you like to celebrate your birthday?

I’m very chill when it comes to my birthday. I usually like a fun dinner with the family and something chocolate LOL

17--What’s a recent tv show/movie/book/podcast you highly recommend?

My favorite podcast is Diary of a CEO. I lean something fascinating every single time I listen to it!

18--What’s your favorite type of cuisine?

Asian cuisine is my all-time favorite. I could eat it every single day.

19--What do you do when you have free time?

As a mom of two and an author with multiple pen names, I’m not sure what you’re referring to. LOL. If I do have a break between projects, I enjoy spending quality time with my family, reading, baking, and playing elaborate board games.

20--What can readers expect from you next?

My latest release, EDGE OF CHAOS, is part of a series of adventure romances that explore relationships set into high stakes professions! I can’t wait until you see what’s coming next!

EDGE OF CHAOS by Molly E. Lee

Edge of Chaos

Newly edited... Prepare to be blown away!

Two storm chasers must decide what they’re willing to risk—even if it’s themselves—in this emotional, highly charged adrenaline rush of a romance that fuses Twisters with It Ends with Us.

Blake Caster has spent most of her life living under storm clouds. Growing up and listening to her parents fight, their terrible divorce, and most of all, her troubled romantic life—is it any wonder Blake can sense when dangerous weather starts rolling in? It’s like a sixth sense, knowing how the sky will change before anyone else. But it also has a dark side…one Blake tries to hide. One that keeps her from living the life she’s always wanted.

Then she meets pro storm chaser Dash Lexington, and electricity sparks between them. Bright. Crackling. Dangerous. It’s like he is the storm, and Blake can’t seem to stay away.

Suddenly Blake’s experiencing the world from a whole new side. A world where the Oklahoma skies are filled with rolling black clouds and the promise of tornados. But the power of the storm is nothing compared to the thrill of excitement that ignites when she’s too close to Dash.

For the first time, Blake knows exactly where she belongs. But Dash's obsession with chasing is as hazardous and unpredictable as the storms themselves.

And playing it safe might be the most dangerous thing Blake can do…
