I’m all about giving the escape hatch from life for a little fun reading time! One of my favorite things in life is that I get to have an absolute blast bringing readers the blend of RomCozies – cozy murder mysteries with a rom com twist that’s sure to make you laugh and sigh in delight, all while trying to figure out whodunnit. Hopefully not before me and my sleuth since that would ruin the fun of our race to the finish!
About:
I like long walks on the beach to contemplate where my next murder will happen, extended soaks in the bath so I can figure out who did the dirty deed, and deep conversations over which method to use and how the bad guy thinks he might get away with it… These things fill my head as I do my best to bring laughter, escape, and a story that makes you forget to make dinner or go to bed on time. I used to enjoy long walks on the beach, but since I’m now living in the middle of Pennsylvania they’re no longer as accessible as when I lived in California. Now my life is mostly filled with remembering when I used to be a bus girl at a diner on the page and praying my curly hair won’t completely go rogue as I navigate humidity and snow, sometimes less than a week apart.
My dream match reader for my latest book, DINERS, DRIVE INS AND LIES, would:
- Adore a cast of soon-to-be book friends that will make you smile and snicker
- Be ready for shenanigans aplenty
- Happily be led on a merry chase both in love and murder
- Dive right into the world and come along for the ride
- Be smitten with my current book boyfriend Eliot
If we’re compatible (and believe me when I say I think we most definitely will be!):
- I’m pretty sure you’ll want to go back and read my backlist, since it’s full of a little bit of everything from small town Pennsylvania, to island capers, ghosts and witches, all with twisty and sassy mysteries to keep you up at night.
- You’ll probably want to find my characters in real life to have tea or coffee with, perhaps a a snack or two just to round out the menu.
- You might also snort tea out of your nose while reading, but let’s avoid that if possible. Put down the drink first because I’m not going to be able to apologize to each of you or help you clean yourself up afterwards.
- A desire to not do dishes, wash clothes, run errands, or take your nose out of the book. I have reading passes that cover all these bases with written permission for you to say no if anyone asks you to do something while you’re reading. Seriously.
