How would you describe your family or your childhood?
I’d have to say it was great at first. Then it became very sad. And challenging.
What was your greatest talent?
I’m a tracker. A bounty hunter actually. I hunt down people and things they’ve stolen. I’m also able to see in the dark.
Significant other?
I just met a witch on the other side of a portal. Her name is Persimmon and I hope to get to know her better.
Biggest challenge in relationships?
Keeping them. Not many women like being with a man who is constantly in danger and at risk of being killed at every turn.
Where do you live?
I come from the land of Taelgonoth, but I fell through a portal and ended up in a magical land called Mura.
Do you have any enemies?
Taelgonoth has turned very dark lately. I’ve been busy at work. And with my profession, pretty much everyone I am tracking turns out to be my enemy.
How do you feel about the place where you are now? Is there something you are particularly attached to, or particularly repelled by, in this place?
I must say I really like the land of Mura. They have magical beings here that can do things I couldn’t even begin to dream of. There is no magic in my homeland. It is also beautiful in Mura. Bright and happy. For the most part. Something I am attached to would have to be the beautiful witch named Persimmon.
Do you have children, pets, both, or neither?
No children, but I have my dog, Fang. He’s great at helping me track down thieves. And I must add, the hound is afraid of nothing.
What do you do for a living?
Bounty Hunter
Greatest disappointment?
My biggest disappointment is that my homeland turned dark and evil. Because of this, I lost my family . . . everyone I loved. I’d do anything to change things if I could.
Greatest source of joy?
I like helping those in need. It makes me feel like I have a purpose. Plus, being around Persimmon and her gazing crystal excites me. I’ve never met anyone like her before.
What do you do to entertain yourself or have fun?
My good friend Aithrod lost his family as well. He, Fang, and I like to relax with a good drink in the taverns. Not Fang. He likes to play and is always up to mischief. Fang doesn’t even mind when that crazy elf named Elric from Mura rides on his back to chase away pesky gnomes.
What is your greatest personal failing, in your view?
I regret not being able to save my family or my homeland from turning evil.
What keeps you awake at night?
Thinking about Persimmon and how much I want to kiss her.
What is the most pressing problem you have at the moment?
My mission is to catch the thieves who stole the gemstones from my king. However, those same stones have a tie to the people of Mura. Now I need to make a hard decision on which direction to take.
Is there something that you need or want that you don’t have? For yourself or for someone important to you?
I want to find love, peace and security. I need to marry a wonderful woman who will raise a family with me. A woman who accepts me and understands me for who I am and what I do. Family is important to me, and I will do anything to achieve this.
Why don’t you have it? What is in the way?
Too much greed and evil have been in my way on Taelgonoth. Once I eliminate the bad, mayhap the good can come through. Mura seems like a perfect place to start my life anew. But in order to do that, I’d have to leave my homeland and everything behind.

Mura has magical beings like fae, elves, and his personal favorite, a witch named Persimmon. She carries around a gazing orb with her and can supposedly scry, seeing things that others cannot. What better way to find his thief and the stolen gemstones? He'll just get the witch to look into her gazing ball for him.
But life isn't always as it seems, and things change in the blink of an eye. Not to mention, portals are highly unpredictable. No one can know when they will open or even where they will show up at all. If Stone can't get back through the portal, he might be stuck in Mura forever. His mission is crucial, but his focus quickly changes to the girl, and that only puts them both in danger.
War, greed, deceit, magic, and a lot of surprises are in store for Stone and Persimmon as their attraction for each other grows stronger each day. She is magical but he is not. They couldn't be more different. Once certain steps are taken, there is no going back. Now, the real question is, will either of them really want to?
