Instead of trying to find your perfect match in a dating app, we bring you the “Author-Reader Match" where we introduce you to authors you may fall in love with. It's our great pleasure to present Sophie Sullivan!
Writes:
Swoon worthy romcoms where at least one of the characters, possibly more, get in over their head with love. Like Presley Ayers who buys her boyfriend a trip to Get Lost Lodge, only to find out she’s the last person he wants to go with. Instead, city girl, hotel concierge, Presley, takes the vacation all by herself. There, she meets Beckett Keller, the lodge owner’s brother. He’s hiking boots and trail riding while she’s high heels and swanky restaurants. She never expected to find love when she came to get lost.
About:
Sophie Sullivan is a multi- published author whose debut romcom, TEN RULES FOR FAKING IT, won the Canadian Book Club Award for romance. LOVE, NATURALLY is her fourth book with St. Martin’s Press but she also writes happily ever after stories under her own name, Jody Holford. When she’s not writing about kisses and sigh-worthy moments, she’s hanging out with her wonderful family, watching reruns of Friends or The Big Bang Theory, drinking diet Pepsi and, likely, worrying too much about something she can’t control.
What I’m looking for in my ideal reader match:
- The perfect reader for LOVE, NATURALLY is someone who:
- Likes to laugh
- Can identify with trying something outside of their comfort zone (and not being great at it the first few times)
- Enjoys a quirky cast of adorable side characters who will make you SMILE
- Likes found family tropes
- Loves determined heroines
- Swoons for supportive, cinnamon roll heroes
- Loves those moments in a book where it’s so obvious they’re into each other. Even if they fight it.
What to expect if we're compatible:
- You’re going to want to read my other series, under both my Sophie name and my real name.
- You’ll want to follow me on Instagram where I’ll share random things like a Lego recreations of my cover or book moments
- You might sign up for my newsletter so you can read bonus stories from my other books
- You’ll debate important life topics with me online like Diet Pepsi vs Diet Coke (Pepsi, obviously) and whether or not Ross and Rachel were on a break (they were but that doesn’t make him right)
A charming opposites-attract romance, Love, Naturally by Sophie Sullivan is for anyone who ever stepped outside their comfort zone and found that all the best things can happen when you take a chance.
Presley Ayers is not the woman you bring on a camping trip. An accomplished concierge at an exclusive hotel in Great Falls, MI, she knows more about the top ten places for champagne and caviar than she does about the best hiking boots to go stomping around near Lake Michigan. But when she surprises her boyfriend of eight months with a vacation to the Get Lost Lodge and he dumps her instead, Presley decides to rough it solo and take the trip herself.
When Beckett Keller helps the gorgeous woman off the rickety boat and onto Lodge territory, it’s clear to him she's made a mistake. She doesn’t like hiking, fishing, or nature in general, so why did she go on this trip? He’s got other things on his mind though—a crumbling lodge, and his own plans and dreams that are forever deferred—so he doesn’t have time for Ms. Fish-Out-of-Water. Even so, neither Beckett nor Presley can help that inexplicable draw they feel towards each other. He’s all rough stubble and plaid shirts, while she’s all high heels and brand-name athleisurewear.
But you know what they say about opposites.

SOPHIE SULLIVAN is a Canadian author as well as a cookie-eating, Diet Pepsi-drinking, Disney enthusiast who loves reading and writing romance in almost equal measure. She writes around her day job as a teacher and spends her spare time with her sweet family watching reruns of Friends. Ten Rules For Faking It is her romcom debut novel, but she's had plenty of practice writing happily ever after as her alter ego, Jody Holford.
