2--What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book?
Assigned to protect sea turtle biologist Peyton Bradley from a dangerous stalker, former SEAL Gray Wallace is determined to save his headstrong charge—even if she doesn’t want to be saved.
3--How did you decide where your book was going to take place?
I’ve been wanting to write a book with sea turtles in it, since they are a passion of mine, so I set it in Florida on the beach. I live in Florida as well.
4--Would you hang out with your heroine in real life?
Absolutely. Peyton is dedicated to saving sea turtles and the ocean.
5--What are three words that describe your hero?
Strong, protective, and determined.
6--What’s something you learned while writing this book?
learned a lot about sea turtles in my research, for example, how the temperature of a nest determines the gender of the turtles!
7--Do you edit as you draft or wait until you are totally done?
Both. I’m a plotter and pantser, so I’m a “plantser,” lol.
8--What’s your favorite foodie indulgence?
Anything I don’t have to cook when I’m on a deadline, LOL!
9--Describe your writing space/office!
I have an office but enjoy writing in our Florida room on the sofa. It’s bright and airy and overlooks the backyard.

11--Is there a book that changed your life?
Probably one of Dorothy Eden’s, made me fall in love with mysteries when I was ten!
12--Tell us about when you got “the call.” (when you found out your book was going to be published)
I was so thrilled and excited I threw up my lunch, LOLOLOL.
13--What’s your favorite genre to read?
Romance!
14--What’s your favorite movie?
I don’t really have a favorite.
15--What is your favorite season?
Autumn up north – we returned from a trip to Michigan and I adored the changing of the leaves and the cold weather!
16--How do you like to celebrate your birthday?
With my husband and traveling with our dogs.
17--What’s a recent tv show/movie/book/podcast you highly recommend?
I’m into crime shows like Law and Order.
18--What’s your favorite type of cuisine?
Seafood!
19--What do you do when you have free time?
Sleep, lol. I work a demanding day job as well as write books, so I don’t have a lot of free time.
20--What can readers expect from you next?
ESCAPE FROM DEVIL’S DEN is my next release from Harlequin Romantic Suspense, out August 2024. It features a secondary character in Her Secret Protector, who infiltrates a criminal motorcycle gang.
