1--What is the title of your latest release?
My Lovelight series releases this summer with LOVELIGHT FARMS, IN THE WEEDS, and MIXED SIGNALS.
2--What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book?
Business Casual is the fourth and final installment of the Lovelight series and features two opposites who want to get each other out of their systems but keep finding themselves thrust back together no matter how hard they try.
3--How did you decide where your book was going to take place?
I wanted to create a cozy, happy world to disappear into when I was feeling lonely or sad. Lovelight Farms and the town of Inglewild is very much a place of my heart and I wish it were real every single day.
4--Would you hang out with your heroine in real life?
Absolutely. Stella, Layla, Evelyn, and Nova are all slices of myself and what I hope to be. I love writing strong, confident, motivated women.
5--What are three words that describe your hero?
Vulnerable, kind, besotted.
6--What’s something you learned while writing this book?
I learned to let my characters lead and to love the journey.
7--Do you edit as you draft or wait until you are totally done?
I tend to edit as I go. I have trouble moving forward if the story doesn’t have a strong foundation.
8--What’s your favorite foodie indulgence?
I love a charcuterie board.
9--Describe your writing space/office!
Chaotic. I tend to bop around my house as I write, depending on where I can find some quiet. My desk is certainly the most organized, but I tend to get the most done while typing away in my bed.
10--Who is an author you admire?
I think Chloe Liese is incredible. Her commitment to representation and the thoughtful vulnerability she crafts her stories with is something I aspire to.
11--Is there a book that changed your life?
Nora Ephron’s writing made me want to be a writer. It’s not a book, but the script for Sleepless in Seattle is some of my all-time favorite writing.
12--Tell us about when you got “the call.” (when you found out your book was going to be published)
I was on a bus in Disney World with my family and there was aggressive banjo music playing over the speakers. My agent, Kim, called and asked me what I was doing. She gave me the news and I cried the whole way to the park.
13--What’s your favorite genre to read?
I’m a romance girlie, through and through.
14--What’s your favorite movie?
Sleepless in Seattle.
15--What is your favorite season?
Autumn and winter. I love curling up and being cozy.
16--How do you like to celebrate your birthday?
Good food and good coffee and a walk to the bookstore.
17--What’s a recent tv show/movie/book/podcast you highly recommend?
I adored Book Lovers by Emily Henry.
18--What’s your favorite type of cuisine?
Italian. My family lives in Little Italy and every day is pasta day.
19--What do you do when you have free time?
I like to bake when I’m feeling energetic. But more often than not, I’m curled up with a book.

The fourth and final installment of the Lovelight series, Charlie and Nova’s story.
