1--What is the title of your latest release?

EARL RUSH IN

2--What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book?

The Earl of Trevelyan has a reputation for being a beast in society’s circles, but nothing - nothing - will stop him from rescuing Charlotte from her disastrous engagement. He promised his best friend that he would look after her. Of course, the earl can only protect her from the blackguard who’s trying to marry her. Protecting her from himself is quite another matter…

3--How did you decide where your book was going to take place?

That’s easy! Most of my books are Regency Romances, so they take place in England. This one is set in London and in a little inn just outside of London.

4--Would you hang out with your heroine in real life?

Yes - I wish she’d teach me how to be friendlier and more of an extrovert!

5--What are three words that describe your hero?

Gruff, grumpy, piratical.

6--What’s something you learned while writing this book?

I learned about parlor games people in Regency England played in their homes at night. Some of them were pretty silly, lol…

7--Do you edit as you draft or wait until you are totally done?

Lately, I’ve been drafting the whole book first before going back and editing.

8--What’s your favorite foodie indulgence?

I am the worst with picking favorites. I have so many! Sushi is one of them.

9--Describe your writing space/office!

Lately I’ve been writing in my boat, because it’s quiet and free of the distractions in my office at home. I sit on the bench seat at a little wooden table. I play music on a Bluetooth speaker, or sometimes I just write while listening to the little waves lapping against the hull.

10--Who is an author you admire?

Diana Gabaldon.

11--Is there a book that changed your life?

Probably OUTLANDER by Diana Gabaldon.

12--Tell us about when you got “the call.” (when you found out your book was going to be published)

I had been out of publishing for a few years—LIFE! But I really wanted to start writing again, and when Heather Howland at Entangled called me up and said she liked my pitch to her, I was SO excited. It’s wonderful to be writing happily ever afters again!

13--What’s your favorite genre to read?

Romance, of course! I do like reading ALL genres, though…I’m a pretty eclectic reader.

14--What’s your favorite movie?

I love tons of movies…but one favorite is The Princess Bride, because it always makes me smile.

15--What is your favorite season?

I like them all! I like spring the best right now, probably because it IS spring, and I love how everything’s in bloom.

16--How do you like to celebrate your birthday?

I like to take the day to NOT COOK. LOL! Having someone else cook for me is the best gift ever.

17--What’s a recent tv show/movie/book/podcast you highly recommend?

I just binged Peaky Blinders. SO GOOD.

18--What’s your favorite type of cuisine?

Again…so hard to pick favorites. Right now, I’m in the mood for some Indian food, so we’ll go with that.

19--What do you do when you have free time?

I read, and I go sailing.

20--What can readers expect from you next?

My next release is A LADY’S RULES FOR RUIN, wherein a lady stages her own ruination, only to find herself at odds with a charming earl.

EARLS RUSH IN by Jennifer Haymore

Earls Rush In

The beloved “sunshine” of the ton, Miss Charlotte Chapman, is trapped in the carriage with an utter madman. There’s simply no other explanation for it. Why else would the rough, reclusive Earl of Trevelyan—her deceased brother’s most beloved friend—sweep her away during a terrible snowstorm without explanation? All she knows is that his rather boorish behavior somehow involves her pending betrothal…

Trevelyan has a reputation for being something of a beast in society’s circles, but nothing—nothing—will stop him from rescuing Charlotte from her disastrous engagement. He promised his best friend that she and her sister would be looked after. Of course, the earl can only protect her from the blackguard who’s trying to marry her. Protecting her from himself is quite another matter…

Now, thanks to their upended carriage, they’re stranded at a country inn—which has only one room left. And all it takes is one kiss to unlock the simmering desires they’ve never admitted…and a heartbreaking secret that could shatter Charlotte into a million pieces.

About Jennifer Haymore

Jennifer Haymore

Jennifer Haymore grew up on the Big Island of Hawaii, where she surfed, learned how to fly airplanes, raced bicycles, and developed a love for sailing. She was an avid reader and completely destroyed her eyesight by sneaking a flashlight under her covers and reading far into the nights — making her mother wonder why on earth she couldn't get up for school in the mornings...

Jennifer holds a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from UC Berkeley and a master's degree in Education from UCLA. Before she became a full–time writer she held various jobs from bookselling to teaching inner–city children to playing bit roles in soap operas.

You can find Jennifer in Southern California trying to talk her husband into yet another trip to England, helping her three children with homework while brainstorming a new five–minute dinner menu, or crouched in a corner of the local bookstore writing her next novel.
