1--What is the title of your latest release?

CLAIMED BY THE DEMON ALIEN

2--What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book?

The Persephone and Hades myth meets Beauty and the Beast where a human scientist falls through a crack in the surface of a distant planet only to find a demon alien living with an immortal curse.

3--How did you decide where your book was going to take place?

I was really inspired by a virtual reality workout program I use called Supernatural, where the workout settings are either real-life locations or a made-up fantasy land. One workout takes place on this ash-covered planet with these nearby broken sphere moons, and that’s what I based Planet Ell on.

4--Would you hang out with your heroine in real life?

Yes! She’s daring, bold, and smart.

5--What are three words that describe your hero?

Angry, Possessive, Loyal

6--What’s something you learned while writing this book?

I really challenged myself with this one, and I learned that I can write a really banging ending when I want to!

7--Do you edit as you draft or wait until you are totally done?

I edit a bit as I go and then do a big edit sweep at the end.

8--What’s your favorite foodie indulgence?

macarons

9--Describe your writing space/office!

I recently moved and finally have my own writing space! I filled it with my books and other things that made me happy. Right now, it’s also home to our bearded dragon named Waffles.

10--Who is an author you admire?

I’m going to cheat and say two! Ruby Dixon and Kristen Ashley

11--Is there a book that changed your life?

SWEET DREAMS by Kristen Ashley

12--Tell us about when you got “the call.” (when you found out your book was going to be published)

I have been traditionally published and the call was definitely exciting, but I’m enjoying publishing on my own now. It’s been really nice to have freedom and control.

13--What’s your favorite genre to read?

Non-contemporary romance

14--What’s your favorite movie?

This is a hard question! I love anything zombies, so probably Train to Busan

15--What is your favorite season?

Fall

16--How do you like to celebrate your birthday?

Go out to lunch with my mom.

17--What’s a recent tv show/movie/book/podcast you highly recommend?

I actually co-host a podcast with two author friends of mine about Korean dramas where we analyze plot and characterization. It’s called AfterNoona Delight. (I host under my real name, Megan Erickson)

18--What’s your favorite type of cuisine?

comfort food

19--What do you do when you have free time?

Watch Kdramas, spend time with my kids.

20--What can readers expect from you next?

I’m going to be writing more Drixonians, which is a reader favorite of mine. I’m very excited to be back to the familiar world.
