2--What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book?
EMS helicopter pilot Penny Carlton is used to high stress situations, but being forced to land on a mountain in a raging storm with a critical patient--and a serial killer on the loose--tests her skills and her nerve to the limit. She survives with FBI Special Agent Holt Satterfield's help. But she's not out of the woods yet.

3--How did you decide where your book was going to take place?
I love the mountains of North Carolina and spending time there as they’re only about an hour and a half from home. So, when I decided the first book would have a mountain top emergency helicopter landing and a serial killer on the loose, Asheville, NC seemed like a great place to put that.
4--Would you hang out with your heroine in real life?
Absolutely.
5--What are three words that describe your hero?
Determined, dogged, and fierce (in all that he does) Sorry, I couldn’t think of another “D” word ;-)
6--What’s something you learned while writing this book?
How to crash a helicopter.
7--Do you edit as you draft or wait until you are totally done?
I edit as a I go.
8--What’s your favorite foodie indulgence?
Chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate.
9--Describe your writing space/office!
My office? MESSY! So, I write at the kitchen counter, the kitchen table, in the sunroom, in the recliner, etc.…anywhere I can find a spot to be comfy and creative. :-)
10--Who is an author you admire?
SO MANY OPTIONS HERE. I have to pick just one?? LOL. Dee Henderson. She was my first true mentor and I owe her bunches.
11--Is there a book that changed your life?
The first one my editor bought. More so than any other book out there. LOL.
12--Tell us about when you got “the call.” (when you found out your book was going to be published)
I was sitting in Panera and my agent called to let me know that Revell wanted to buy the Women of Justice series. It was all I could do not to scream!
13--What’s your favorite genre to read?
Romantic suspense followed by 1880s Historical.
14--What’s your favorite movie?
Die Hard.
15--What is your favorite season?
FALL! ALL the things FALL. LOL. Except cinnamon. I’m allergic to cinnamon, so…yeah. But definitely fall for the weather.
16--How do you like to celebrate your birthday?
Low key. Eating out and hanging out with my family.
17--What’s a recent tv show/movie/book/podcast you highly recommend?
My husband I’ve recently binge watched the first season of Big Sky. REALLY liked it a lot. So much creep factor and great acting (for the most part). Haven’t cared for season 2 quite as much, but season 1 was GREAT.
18--What’s your favorite type of cuisine?
Mexican. I usually have it two to three times a week.
19--What do you do when you have free time?
Photography. I’m working on building a photography business and have really enjoyed the process!
