Spunky

He’s a swoon-worthy hero with a great sense of humor
5--Who are the people your main characters turn to when they need help?
Each other and the heroine’s father
6--What do you love about the setting of your book?
It’s set in a small town in North Carolina and I adore small towns.
7--Are you a plotter (follow an outline) or a pantster (write by the seat of your pants)?
A pantser
8--What is an ideal writing day for you?
One where the words are flowing!
9--Do you listen to music while you write, need total silence, or do you have the TV on?
Never the TV and it varies. Sometimes I listen to music, sometimes I don’t.
10-- How do you approach research?
I read up on the topic I’m writing about online or by using library resources. Sometimes I use refdesk.com and sometimes I’ll buy books on the topic which is why my writing library includes books on everything from classic cars to space exploration. I’ll also search YouTube for research help.
11--What is your publishing journey story?
I’ve been a writer for as long as I can recall starting when I was a child. Then I wrote short stories to entertain my daughters. One of them convinced me to submit a short story so I did. When it sold, I was so shocked. Then I won a Harlequin contest. I was such a newbie at the time that when an editor asked if I had a manuscript she could look at, I said no. Years passed and I entered a one page writing contest that the lovely Marisa Cleveland had. She loved my entry, which led to the publication of my first novel, Stealing the Groom with Entangled Publishing.
12--Do you have critique partners/writing groups you want to give a shout-out to?
Not with my romance novels. I pretty much write those alone, but I do have had fantastic editors who lend their brilliance to the stories.
13--What’re the most frustrating things about being an author?
Not enough time to write all the story ideas I have.
14--What’s your favorite scent?
In candles, it’s mulled cider or apple but in perfume, it’s White Diamonds.
15--What movie will you watch no matter what if it’s on TV?
I have so many movies I feel that way about but there’s one starring David James Elliot and Cynthia Gibb called Holiday Affair that’s a must watch. I wish it was on DVD but it’s not.
16--Do you like breakfast, lunch, or dinner best?
Lunch
17--What’s one thing you wish you knew more about?
The days of King Arthur. I love that time in history.
18--What’s the silliest thing you’ve recently done?
Accidentally used a concentrated cleaner before reading the instructions.
19--What can readers expect from you next?
The next book in the series is tentatively titled The Forever List (titles are always subject to change) which features Wynne and Ripley’s story.
