If you love the humor and romance of Rachel Gibson and Susan Elizabeth
Phillips, don't miss the fabulous debut of Gwen Jones!
Where do romance, news anchors, and wanted ads intersect? In New Jersey! Or,
rather, in Gwen Jones laugh–out–loud, NJ–set contemporary
romance, Wanted:
Wife. Gwen has written a fantastically original, sexy romance about
love and dating in modern times, complete with a spunky, relatable heroine, and
a sexy Frenchman–turned–Jersey native—and the bizarre,
hand–written ad (on a telephone post!) that brings them together for a
unique, unforgettable ride.
Wanted: Wife
is a witty and heartfelt novel that asks when the romance left the
world of modern dating—and then promptly knocks you off your feet with a
fresh, contemporary love story that's equal parts smoldering, smart, and sweet.
Gwen Jones has combined the humor and romance of Rachel Gibson and Susan
Elizabeth Phillips in her fabulous debut novel.
Wanted: Wife
Dumped by her metrosexual snake of a fiancée just two weeks before
their "perfect" wedding, Julie Knott clings to her job as an
off–the–beaten–path reporter for a local news channel in
Pennsylvania and New Jersey. But even for her—a certified expert on all
things quirky, odd, or just plain weird—when she finds a wanted ad for a
wife (for "marriage and family," no less!), she realizes she's only begun to
scratch the surface of something truly bizarre: the mysterious, almost
criminally handsome French transplant, Andy Devine.
A reporter to her core, Julie can't help but wonder why this absurdly perfect
specimen of maleness felt the need to put up a wanted ad for a wife (how
medieval!)—and moreover, why, out of the tons of applicants flocking
to him, he chose her! So she does the only logical thing left to do: quits her
job, signs a marriage contract, ditches her precious Blackberry, and moves to
the sticks (aka the New Jersey Pine Barrens) to be a farm wife to a complete
stranger.
But between learning how to milk a cow, collect eggs, harvest vegetables,
and—not least of all—uncovering the mystery of Andy Devine, the
weirdest, most unexpected thing yet happens: Julie falls in love—and now
it's up to her to prove the Andy that a marriage can be so much more than a
business partnership or a professional contract.
About the Author:

born–and–bred native of southern New Jersey and the Jersey Shore,
