It’s getting close to summer, which means more beach and pool time. So that
gets me thinking about how I’d pass the time at the pool this year. We all love
a good military hero. They’re always sexy and fit. Can you imagine them all at
the pool or walking down the beach? Well, I spent some time thinking about
heroes that I’ve read that I’d love to run into at the pool or beach this
summer, and I wanted to share them with you.
Trick from Zoe York’s Fall Hard
If you haven’t read this book, you’re missing out. Actually her whole SEAL
series is amazing. All her heroes are super hot and I wouldn’t kick any of them
to the curb if I saw them coming out of the pool. My favorite has to be Trick,
though. I mean, strong, sexy SEAL dripping with water as he gets out of the
pool, or maybe you could be holding his hand and you could be walking together
down the beach… Who knows? All I know is that this guy is super hot and you
shouldn’t miss him.
Jackson from Elle Kennedy’s Out of Uniform series
Now let’s talk about Jackson. Imagine six feet of Texas cowboy all shoved into a
Navy uniform and put in the SEALs to be a badass. Wouldn’t you want to be
seeing that at the pool? I can’t imagine a better way to pass my time. And
let’s not even get into the fact that I think this guy would rather be
skinnydipping than wearing a swim suit.
Matt from Lynn Raye Harris’s Hot Pursuit
I know I read a lot of SEALs. I blame my Navy career. So, let’s talk about
someone who isn’t a SEAL. So I’m just getting started on Lynn’s series. I know,
where have I been, right? So in Hot Pursuit, we have Matt Girard, a black ops
soldier facing some pretty heavy consequences. I could totally see a game of
water polo in my future with Matt. I think it would be fun.
Sebastian McIntyre from Once Upon a SEAL
I had to include Bastian on this list. I couldn’t help myself. He’s my favorite
character right now because he’s got scars, both inside and out that need to be
healed and taken care of. He might scare some people on first contact because of
the way he looks. I think he’s kind of intimidating, except in a sexy way… but I
know for a fact he can surf like no other.
Leland from Roxie Rivera’s Close Quarters
So I pretty much glom everything Roxie writes. But I have to admit that if I
saw Leland walking down the beach or hauling himself out of the pool, I might
not be able to control myself or stop myself from jumping him right then and
there. Add in the Texas twang and I think I might melt into a little Suz puddle
on the ground.
It gets fairly hot in Texas where I live. I’m pretty sure that if any of these
guys showed up at my nearest pool, I’d probably self-combust from the sexy. So
what sexy military boys would you love to run into at the pool/beach this summer?
About ONCE UPON A SEAL
Maddie Benson has spent her entire life in Sugar Falls and has never
ventured—nor wanted to venture—beyond her small town’s safe borders. But when
her delivery job takes her to the doorstep of one very reclusive, former Navy
SEAL, Sebastian McIntyre, her small town perceptions are challenged with every
conversation they have. It’s not long before she’s losing herself—and her
heart—to the mysterious man behind the door.
Bastian’s scars are deeper than the surface. They’re embedded into his soul, and
he’s content to keep them buried. But the second Maddie ends up on his doorstep
with her sparkling smile and her sunshine hair, his quiet new life shatters and
she just might be able to excise the demons he’s tried hard to keep tucked
away—if he lets her in.
When Bastian’s old life comes haunting them, he knows he should let her go. But
the light she shines on his soul keeps the darkness within him at bay. Letting
her go may take more strength than he has, and keeping her close could get her
killed.
