Instead of trying to find your perfect match in a dating app, we bring you the “Author-Reader Match" where we introduce you to authors you may fall in love with. It's our great pleasure to present Alexandra Vasti!
Writes:
My new release, SWIPE BITE, is literally about a dating app - a vampire-human dating app called Stokr. (Named for Bram Stoker, the author of DRACULA!) When Stokr is sabotaged and humans start dying, corporate vampire Sophronia Vega and human software engineer Casey Amato must team up to hunt down the killer—and try to resist their sizzling chemistry along the way.
About:
I’m a British literature professor by day and USA Today bestselling romance author by night. I live in New Orleans and teach DRACULA every autumn, so you could say that vampires are in my blood! I can usually be found haunting my favorite New Orleans coffeeshops, inhaling French pastries, and remembering to exercise 2-4 times per calendar year.
My ideal reader for SWIPE BITE must love:
• Twisty romantic suspense with villains you love to hate
• Hungry, hungry vampires
• Forbidden romance and lethal levels of yearning
• Spicy elevator scenes
• Black-cat heroines and hot, gentle heroes
What to expect if we're compatible:
If Stokr tells us we’re a hemoenzymatic match (aka if you enjoy SWIPE BITE), then I’m thrilled to report that this is the first half of the Corporate Bloodsuckers duology, and another steamy, twisty vampire romance is coming from me in Fall 2027! Find me on my website, and sign up for my newsletter for all the details!
Corporate Bloodsuckers #1
An icy vampire corporate heiress and a human software engineer must team up to thwart the saboteur who’s turned their sexy human-vampire dating app into a bloodbath, in this mystery romance romp by USA Today bestselling author Alexandra Vasti.
As heir to HemoCorp Industries, vampire Sophronia Vega has devoted herself to the company her family founded. Most recently, she’s led the creation of Stokr: the wildly successful dating app that pairs lusty vampires with humans they can’t accidentally, er, eat. But when Stokr’s matching technology goes haywire—and vampires start draining their dates—Sophronia’s disciplined life goes up in flames.
Enter Casey Amato, the human software engineer whose team programmed Stokr. Casey knows the Stokr failure wasn’t a glitch—the app’s been sabotaged. To fix it, he’ll have to convince the gorgeous, guarded vampire exec that someone in her inner circle has betrayed her.
Sophronia has never met a human who makes her feel quite so . . . thirsty. But to fix her app and save its users, she must team up with the brilliant programmer. As they hunt the traitor, their attraction burns hotter, and the stakes couldn’t be higher. Because without Stokr, giving in to temptation could be deadly.

Alexandra Vasti comes from a long line of romance-reading Vasti women. She fell in love with historical romance at age 11 and still swoons for Laura Kinsale and Judith McNaught.
Alex lives in Louisiana, where she teaches literature at a university by day and writes romance by night. Somewhere in there she also raises three kids and two mostly feral kitties. She’s powered by guacamole and oat milk lattes, though not usually at the same time.
