Candace Lynn Talmadge | Demon Wrestling, Part 2

YouTubefacebooktwitterInstagramamazon

(In April’s post, I realized I was dealing with demons in my own consciousness and asked for help to get rid of them.)

Zula, my emotional body, finally tracked down that second little blob of nothingness. We went through pretty much the same procedure that I described in Part 1 of this bizarre tale.

With this addition. I went back into one of my first lives on planet earth. This life is one of the past lives involved in my dark high fantasy series, Stoneslayer.

That life was brief. I died as a teenager, bound hand and foot and thrown into a freezing pond to drown.

But in water that cold, death took time. My consciousness lingered in my almost dead body. I was desperate, panicked, and felt alone and helpless.

Easy pickings for demons, or denial spirits, as some call them. They must have energy from somewhere to keep existing since they have denied the unconditional love-energy from our Creator that sustains the multiverse.

That need for energy is what drives demons to infest any living being or thing that has energy. These two gaslighters (my name for them) pounced, promising help if I would just let them into my awareness.

I agreed. They lied.

Once inside my consciousness they stoked all manner of high emotions, like anxiety, panic, and terror, and feasted off the strong energy of these emotions.

They were there never to help me, but to keep me generating excessive strong emotions so they could keep existing.

Bad news all around. The good news? Since I invited them in originally, I could make a new decision and kick them out for good.

I made a new decision with this second gaslighter, just as I had with the first one Zula found. And felt even lighter and more at peace with myself and within my being.

The best gift of all arrived that Thanksgiving, when I visited my sister in San Francisco. Between where I live and the city by the bay is a highway that climbs almost two thousand feet over a mountain range. It is winding and dangerous, and I had gotten to the point of anxiety meltdown every time I traveled that road.

No longer. While my niece drove her husband and me, I sat back and blitzed out at the sight of the beautiful trees and brilliant blue sky. I was so relaxed and out of it I was shocked when I came back down out of the clouds and realized we were over the hill.

Same thing next year. No more panic going over that highway. Or going to new places. Or just riding in a car to a doctor’s appointment.

Do I still have unresolved stuff? Of course. At least now these issues and feelings are truly mine, not whipped up to unnecessary extremes by demonic gaslighters feeding off my extra misery.
