How would you describe your family or your childhood?
Hellaciously complicated. it can be a challenge growing up with a name that opens some doors and slams others shut. As a Grimm, my childhood was wealth wrapped in rot — privilege laced with poison … and I learned pretty damn early that family can cut deeper than any enemy.
What was your greatest talent?
Seeing people. Not just what they want to show, but what they’re hiding. Their weaknesses. Their desires. That’s my second greatest talent. My first is knowing how to use that information.
Significant other?
There’s only one woman who ever truly mattered to me, and I pushed her away with both hands. She hates me now. But she’s still mine. She always will be. I just need to make sure she knows that, too.
Biggest challenge in relationships?
Trust. You grow up in my family, you learn trust is just another weapon.
Where do you live?
I keep an apartment in Grimm Tower. Beyond that, I spend a lot of time in safehouses.
Do you have any enemies?
Plenty. Some are family. Some…are closer than that. All need to stay on their guard.
How do you feel about the place where you are now?
I feel restless. Needy. Like I’m on the cusp. Fairy tales always hide monsters. But I know they’re out there. I know, because sometimes I’m the monster.
Do you have children, pets, both, or neither?
Neither. I don’t let myself keep what I can’t protect.
What do you do for a living?
Cybersecurity. Gray hat, more or less, depending. I break into systems to expose cracks before someone worse does. And sometimes I use those cracks for myself.
Greatest disappointment?
That when she needed me most, I wasn’t the man she thought I was.
Greatest source of joy?
All in the long-ago past. Those blissful moments when Ruby gave herself to me, body and soul. Nothing has ever come close to that.
What do you do to entertain yourself or have fun?
I don’t “play.” I train, I hack, I watch. Some people call that obsession. Maybe it is. But obsession keeps you sharp.
What is your greatest personal failing, in your view?
I destroy what I want most.
What keeps you awake at night?
Regret. Desire. And the constant calculation of how to keep her safe even while knowing I’m the one she needs protection from.
What is the most pressing problem you have at the moment?
Someone is targeting Ruby—someone who wants to hurt her to get to me. I don’t know who yet. But I’ll find them. And I’ll end them.
Is there something that you need or want that you don’t have?
Her trust. Her love. I want it back more than I want my next breath.
Why don’t you have it? What is in the way?
Because I broke it. Because I lied. What’s in the way is me.

How would you describe your family or your childhood?
Blissful until college. Then my parents died, so it was Granny and me. She’s the best part of my world. Loving, stubborn, tough as nails. It was great growing up with her, but we lived in-house at Reed Tower where she worked. That was fine for me, but I really felt for my best friend, Sasha. That place, was more prison than home for her. Which tainted it for me, too.
What was your greatest talent?
Survival. I don’t mean that lightly. I’ve had to rebuild myself from the ground up more than once. And I’ve learned I’m damn good at it.
Significant other?
That’s…complicated. I’m dating a man who’s kind and stable. At least, that’s what I tell myself I want. But there’s another man—one I should hate. Maybe I do. But he’s in my blood anyway, and that’s the problem.
Biggest challenge in relationships?
Letting myself trust. Letting myself believe that passion doesn’t always come with destruction.
Where do you live?
In a cottage in Connecticut with Granny. It’s warm, safe, and mine. A far cry from the steel and glass cage of Reed Tower.
Do you have any enemies?
I didn’t think so. But apparently, yes. At least one. And—of course—somehow that enemy is tied to Leo Fucking Grimm.
How do you feel about the place where you are now?
This cottage is my sanctuary. The woods are my haven. Except now the shadows feel alive again, and I hate that Leo Grimm has tainted even this place in my mind.
Do you have children, pets, both, or neither?
Neither. Just Granny. She’s family, friend, and anchor all rolled into one.
What do you do for a living?
I’m a VP at Lydia Cosmetics—my best friend’s company. I love it—building something powerful with her and helping to shape a company where women have control instead of being controlled.
Greatest disappointment?
Leo Grimm. Dont’eve get me started.
Greatest source of joy?
Granny. And Sasha, my best friend. They remind me that I’m not alone, even when my heart feels like it’s been split in two.
What do you do to entertain yourself or have fun?
Farmer’s markets. Musical soundtracks. Walking the trail near my house. Ordinary things. They ground me, keep me sane.
What is your greatest personal failing, in your view?
I still want the man who broke me. (But oh, please, I hope he doesn’t see this! I don’t want him to know!)

Memories I can’t shut out. The sound of his voice. The fear that no matter how far I run, he’ll always find me—and worse, that part of me wants him to.

Someone has targeted me. And the man who broke me—who I hate— is claiming he’s the only one who can keep me safe.
Is there something that you need or want that you don’t have?
I want to stop looking over my shoulder. And…I want love that doesn’t come with fear.
