1--What is the title of your latest release?
RELATIONSHIP GOALS
2--What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book?
An infamous star soccer player who is forced to fake date a Hollywood starlet, only to develop real feelings for her—just as she learns he was pretending and vows to get even.
3--How did you decide where your book was going to take place?
I knew I wanted the fame aspect of this fake dating, and I couldn’t think of a better place to set a high stakes public romance than in L.A. and Hollywood.
4--Would you hang out with your protagonist in real life?
Oh my gosh, ABSOLUTELY. Abigail and I would be chaos queens together.
5--What are three words that describe your protagonist?
Bubbly, chaotic, and kind.
6--What’s something you learned while writing this book?
I did a lot of research for this one, but the thing that I got most intense about was the real-life FIFA scandal— which I ended up not using much of at all, other than a sort of background flavor. There’s a great documentary on Netflix about it— but if you want a soccer documentary Beckham is a lot more fun!
7--Do you edit as you draft or wait until you are totally done?
Both. I tend to edit as I write, go back and fix sentences while I’m drafting, and then turn in pretty clean drafts… or so I think, until I get my copy edits and realize I’ve never fully grasped commas and that using the same word five times in the span of five paragraphs is frowned upon.
8--What’s your favorite foodie indulgence?
I love blue crab— I could eat it every meal. I could write a romance revolving around blue crab, except I’m the heroine and blue crab is my love interest.
9--Describe your writing space/office!
I JUST upgraded this! I honestly couldn’t be more excited to talk about this, I’m SO glad you asked, muhahahha. I converted a portion of an old barn on my property to what we call “The Pink Princess Clubhouse” and it is my cotton candy dream of an office. Pink-to-blue ombre walls, a sunrise cloud mural, pink rugs, and all the off-the-wall art that makes me laugh whenever I look at it. There are prismatic suncatchers that turn everything to rainbows in the afternoon, and a huge window that overlooks my duck’s pond and waterfall. I’m truly obsessed!
10--Who is an author you admire?
I am a ride or die for Ruby Dixon. It’s true, I literally have read everything the woman has written and they’re all bangers, all the time. Perfect pacing, hilarious banter, great world building, AH. Just so good. Ilona Andrews is another one— just immaculate writing, I reread their Kate Daniels and Hidden Legacy series once a year.
11--Is there a book that changed your life?
All of them. Books were my saving grace through some hard times growing up, and disappearing into another world where my problems didn’t matter literally kept me sane.
12--Tell us about when you got “the call.” (when you found out your book was going to be published)/Or, for indie authors, when you decided to self-publish.
Oh this is an interesting question! I self-publish as well, but the most memorable moments for me are when my agent asked for a call— I had to lie down on the floor and stare at the ceiling for at least half an hour. Jess was my absolute dream agent and continues to be the best partner and friend an author could ask for. When Sareer set up the call for Relationship Goals, I was really nervous. What would it be like to give up publishing control? Would it be worth it to take a risk on trad publishing when I had a good thing going? But it was exciting too— and then I immediately fell in love with her. She just *got* the book and my sense of humor. It’s been a joy to work with her, and she’s a killer editor.
13--What’s your favorite genre to read?
Romance. Almost any kind of romance, really. I’m currently on a serious werewolf romance tear. All shifters all the time.
14--What’s your favorite movie?
Thor: Ragnarok but like, it also depends on my mood? I love Sense & Sensibility and Pride & Prejudice (2005) and then I can also always go for a ridiculous action movie like The Meg.
15--What is your favorite season?
AUTUMN. Honestly if the fae abducted me and put me in the fall court, I’d be fine with it.
16--How do you like to celebrate your birthday?
My birthday is during the winter, so typically it involves me being a couch potato, snuggling up, and rotting under a thick blanket and a fancy hot coffee. Also, a nap. Napping is the only true hobby I pursue with any passion.
17--What’s a recent tv show/movie/book/podcast you highly recommend?
Currently obsessed with Kpop Demon Hunters. Watch it. Or else!
18--What’s your favorite type of cuisine?
I looooove Thai. Vietnamese is a close second, I’m pretty sure Banh Mi is the perfect sandwich.
19--What do you do when you have free time?
Nap. Truly. I could nap every day.
20--What can readers expect from you next?
I’m almost finished with the sequel to RELATIONSHIP GOALS, and then I’m SO excited to be writing my absolute dream project, MEAT’S BACK ON THE MENU, which will be a monster romance featuring an orc assassin called… The Butcher. When he decides to hang up his sword and pick up a butcher knife, people are too scared to patronize his shop, so he hires an elf to help improve his image and an unlikely romance forms.

Ted Lasso meets How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days in this steamy sports romance about an infamous star soccer player who is forced to fake date a Hollywood starlet, only to develop real feelings for her—just as she learns he was pretending and vows to get even.
Abigail Hunt’s Hollywood dreams could best be described as slow burn…but she’s about to graduate from TV sidekick to dramatic actor. When the esteemed director of her breakout role suggests a deep dive for her part by shadowing the head of a struggling pro soccer team, she jumps at the chance to prove she’s ready.
Getting asked out by notorious grump and gorgeous star player Luke Wolfe wasn't in the plan, but suddenly her research is getting a lot more...hands-on. Their relationship quickly sets social media on fire, and Luke seems determined to prove he’s more than his villainous reputation. But just when Abigail is happier than ever—her name in lights and her heart in good hands—the other cleat drops: Luke’s been coerced into faking their relationship to improve the team’s ticket sales.
Furious, Abigail refuses to give Luke the satisfaction of dumping him—she decides to get even. Over-the-top dates, treating his games like fashion shows, and befriending the fan club he hates? Count her in. It’s only a matter of time until she pushes the right buttons.
She just didn’t expect him to keep putting up with it—or to say I love you.
