I was repelled at first because it was so unlike anything I’d known. But it does have advantages. And great food.

Being unable to prevent a few deaths.

Ride horses up into the mountains. Drink beer with the Kolbecks.

Not trusting who I needed to trust sooner.

Thinking the wards around the Midlands are going to fail and all that the Saints of Fire have prophesized will come true.
