Tasha Madison | Author-Reader Match: THE PEN THIEF AND THE DIVISION OF DESTINY

amazongoodreadstwitterfacebookInstagram

Instead of trying to find your perfect match in a dating app, we bring you the “Author-Reader Match" where we introduce you to authors as a reader you may fall in love with. It's our great pleasure to present Tasha Madison!

Writes:

I write historical fiction and young adult magical realism novels, like THE PEN THIEF AND THE DIVISION OF DESTINY, which tells the legend that has long been foretold of the child of the prophecy whose destiny it is to find a mystical rune in the forest. But, when a troubled past reveals an ancient secret, fates intertwine in a battle kindled from the gluttonous desires of mankind.

A dark allegiance, sworn to steal the enchanted relics of the world for itself, threatens to upset the delicate balance between past and present. As the war on magic rages on, unexpected encounters level the fight for strength, power, purpose, and truth.

But, can the guardians of magic prevail before they are scattered to disastrous fates?

THE PEN THIEF AND THE DIVISION OF DESTINY is book three in The Pen Thief series, following The Pen Thief and the Orbit of Uncertainty (book one) and The Pen Thief and the Chamber of Power (book two). It is a prequel that tells the origin story of the last of the Great Magicians.

What I’m looking for in my ideal reader match:

  • crave unique settings or contemporary worlds with a twist
  • smiles when reading witty banter, light humor, and pithy comebacks
  • like secrets, surprises, and suspense
  • fascinated by complicated friendships and family drama
  • enjoy unexpected adventures
  • love immersive plots with historical references
  • roots for reluctant heroes or heroines
  • long for unsuspecting strangers or acquaintances to be thrown together

What to expect if we're compatible:

  • You love nothing more than the grip of a nice pen. You think pens are good, but fountain pens are better!
  • Clean fiction full of sass and sarcasm.
  • A little melodrama and metaphor.
  • Rising tension with themes of empowerment and inner conflict.
  • You’ll want to read the “Pen Thief” series from the first book, The Pen Thief and the Orbit of Uncertainty, and get to know the mysterious Fellowship of Guardians and the dark, countering force at the epicenter of the series.
  • Discussions about art, history, literature, writing, and the beauty of everyday life.
  • Stories you’d feel comfortable sharing with your friends, family, and teens.

Once you become a fan:

  • follow me on social media (i.e., on Instagram or Facebook) so we can become book besties

THE PEN THIEF AND THE DIVISION OF DESTINY by Tasha Madison

The Pen Thief and the Division of Destiny

Gifted with Magic.
Tempted by Power.

A king with an appetite for absolute power. A magician with abilities he doesn’t fully understand. Future guardians torn between past prophesies, forgotten secrets, and a sworn oath to protect and defend.

A rebellion rises. As fates intertwine, a mysterious magic fights to find the true heirs of its enchantment. But, danger lurks in the shadows of the past. A dark force, determined to possess the mystical relics of the world for itself, seeks to destroy the veil of truth hidden by time.

Will destiny prevail or fall prey to the gluttonous desires of mankind?

About Tasha Madison

Tasha Madison

Tasha is a book nerd, editing ninja, and design geek. She has degrees in journalism, business, and law. She is the award-winning author of Fabric of a Generation and Pharaoh’s Shadow.

After spending most of her childhood reading in the dark, after hours with a flashlight, she now prefers to curl up in a comfy chair at her local coffee shop.

She covets a seaside cottage full of antique typewriters, where she can write young adult magical realism books, historical fiction, and take on editing gigs to pay for her fountain pen addiction. She sometimes also obsesses over modern Jane Austen renditions and what it would be like to meet Shakespeare. To learn more about her, visit her website.
