Natalie Walters | Super Secret Spies

amazonbookbubtwittergoodreadsInstagramfacebook

1--What is the title of your latest release?

BLIND TRUST

2--What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book?

What do illegal arms trafficking, counterfeit money, the U.S Government, and bombs have in common? According to EOD expert Nicolás Garcia…they’re safer than working with Lyla Fox.

3--How did you decide where your book was going to take place?

Washington D.C. epitomizes intrigue which made locating my SNAP Agency there perfect. You really never know who you’re walking next to, sitting by on the Metro, or eating dinner near - spies, secret service, politico conspirators.

4--Would you hang out with your protagonist in real life?

Definitely. Her spunkiness and spontaneity would make every minute with her an adventure.

5--What are three words that describe your protagonist?

Impulsive, generous, loyal.

6--What’s something you learned while writing this book?

That tough characters are hard to write. LOL. But seriously. These two characters throughout the series have guarded themselves and trying to break that wall down was way more difficult than I imagined.

7--Do you edit as you draft or wait until you are totally done?

I try not to edit as I draft but it inevitably happens. If I’m stuck sometimes it helps to read through what I have and see where I need to make some edits to keep the story moving forward. Other times, the self-editor in me cripples my creativity so it’s fine balance that I have not perfect yet.

8--What’s your favorite foodie indulgence?

Warm, salted-caramel cookies from insomnia.

9--Describe your writing space/office!

My most focused writing space is usually at a coffee shop where I’m not distracted by household chores and well-meaning family members ;)

10--Who is an author you admire?

Cara Putman. She’s an author, professor at Purdue, an attorney, mom, and wife, and I have no idea how she does it all!

11--Is there a book that changed your life?

Charlotte’s Web. It was the first time I realized how emotionally powerful a story can be.

12--Tell us about when you got “the call.” (when you found out your book was going to be published)/Or, for indie authors, when you decided to self-publish.

I was cleaning up after my dog on a walk, LOL. I literally thought to myself, “Whoo! Look at me, a published author bagging warm dog poo with her hand.” For the record, I did not touch the poo with my hand but used the bag over my hand. Just want to make that clear.

13--What’s your favorite genre to read?

Romantic Suspense will always be a favorite, but I do enjoy contemporary romance and lately have been bingeing a ton of fun rom-coms.

14--What’s your favorite movie?

Ooh, I waver on this but it’s between Sound of Music or Mary Poppins.

15--What is your favorite season?

Fall.

16--How do you like to celebrate your birthday?

Spending it with my family, preferably with take-out and a good movie.

17--What’s a recent tv show/movie/book/podcast you highly recommend?

TV Show: Only Murders in the Building; Movie: Molly’s Game; Book: Falling For Your Fake Fiancé by Emma St. Clair

18--What’s your favorite type of cuisine?

Mediterranean

19--What do you do when you have free time?

Catch up on all the household chores/to-do’s I’ve slacked off on. When those are done, I start in on my growing TBR stack and read.

20--What can readers expect from you next?

I’m working on a romantic suspense series set in Texas and on another project that I can’t talk about for fear of losing my security clearance!

BLIND TRUST by Natalie Walters

The SNAP Agency #3

Blind Trust

Lyla Fox knows she has a reputation at the SNAP Agency for impulsivity, but when she receives a threatening letter from a man she helped put in prison, she can't stop herself from going all in to find out why he's coming after her. Unfortunately, she's going to need the help of the one person who questions her reckless choices more than anyone else.

Explosives and weapons specialist Nicolás Garcia agrees to help Lyla in order to keep her safe, but her recklessness continues to be a major concern, especially when her investigation into a conspiracy puts a target on her back. Dealing with bombs is dangerous. Working with Lyla is proving to be just as treacherous--to both the mission and his heart.

Natalie Walters closes out her SNAP Agency series with a bang with this nail-biting story of a deadly government conspiracy, an unlikely couple, and an ending that will leave you breathless.
