3--How did you decide where your book was going to take place?
I love a rainy futuristic cityscape, so that was why I made the beast realm all glittery skyscrapers and storms.
4--Would you hang out with your heroine in real life?
Yes, Sadie is a funny heroine who says ridiculous things.
5--What are three words that describe your hero?
Psycho. Alphahole. Possessive.
6--What’s something you learned while writing this book?
I learned that I have the propensity to write very violent (consensual) smut scenes. Think Mr. and Mrs. Smith vibes.
7--Do you edit as you draft or wait until you are totally done?
A little of both. I try and write about a chapter a day. At night, I’ll read through the chapter on my phone like I’m reading a book and make changes. But the big edit is usually after it’s all completed.
8--What’s your favorite foodie indulgence?
Black raspberry ice cream.
9--Describe your writing space/office!
I have a standing desk with lots of candles, crystals, a gaming computer, and multiple monitors.
10--Who is an author you admire?
Johanna Lindsay. I grew up reading all her romance books and I was obsessed.
11--Is there a book that changed your life?
Probably Maximum Ride by James Patterson. Those were the only books I read from about 3rd grade to 8th grade.
12--Tell us about when you got “the call.” (when you found out your book was going to be published)
When an ARC reader told me they were obsessed, that was when I decided to self-publish.
13--What’s your favorite genre to read?
Dark Enemies to Lovers romance with strong heroines. Exactly what I like to write. Also, every Draco Hermione fan fic I can get my hands on.
14--What’s your favorite movie?
Kung Fu Panda. Every. Single. One of those movies SLAPS. I laugh so hard.
15--What is your favorite season?
Breezy winters in Miami.
16--How do you like to celebrate your birthday?
Reading a good book.
17--What’s a recent tv show/movie/book/podcast you highly recommend?
Manacled. It’s a Dramione Fan Fic and I swear it is the best thing I’ve ever read in my life.
18--What’s your favorite type of cuisine?
Thai, Chinese, or Indian. I can’t pick.
19--What do you do when you have free time?
Read or go for a long walk while blasting music.
20--What can readers expect from you next?
More strong heroines undergoing combat training, with enemy males that are rude as heck but become obsessed with the heroines over time. Lots of violence, smut, and touch-her-or-die vibes.
