1--What is the title of your latest release?

THE PACT which releases February 24^th. It is the second in the Syndicate Masters series which consists of four novels:

THE BARGAIN – already out

THE AGREEMENT – releasing March 17^th

THE UNDERSTANDING – releasing April 21^st

2--What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book?

A dark”ish” mafia romance between a powerful Scottish Black Tiger Shifter, Gavan Drummond, and Blaise Munro, the owner/operator of Kilted Fire, makers of fine single-malt whisky.

Blaise’s grandfather dies leaving the distillery to be divided between Gavan and Blaise with Gavan holding the majority share. In order to keep her safe, Gavan offers Blaise a deal—she agrees to be his submissive for a year and at the end of that time, he will sell her his share for one pound sterling.

3--How did you decide where your book was going to take place?

I LOVE the UK and wanted to do a four book series, one book each set in Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales

4--Would you hang out with your heroine in real life?

Yes! My heroines are strong, intelligent, and caring. These are no weak-willed women who are waiting for the proverbial knight in shining armor riding a white horse to save them

5--What are three words that describe your hero?

Dominant, Passionate, Honorable

6--What’s something you learned while writing this book?

Exactly how single-malt whisky is made

7--Do you edit as you draft or wait until you are totally done?

I edit as I got along and then do a final edit before sending to my professional edits as well as my critical reader group (which is different from my ARC team)

8--What’s your favorite foodie indulgence?

Probably really good Mac and Cheese, and I’m kind of a snob about it—if it isn’t decadent and wonderful, I will just politely not eat it

9--Describe your writing space/office!

The back of the house is divided between my office and a screened in porch. The entire back wall is windows so there is a ton of light. There are also various places for my bassets to lay down and nap while I work. I’ve included a picture

10--Who is an author you admire?

Several—Lexi Blake, Cherise Sinclair, Skye Warren, Dan Brown, Robert Ludlum

11--Is there a book that changed your life?

Misty of Chincoteague by Marguerite Henry. My mother used it to teach me to read when I was three. It instilled in me a life-long love of reading, horses and wild things

12--Tell us about when you got “the call.” (when you found out your book was going to be published)

Thanksgiving Day 2017 I got an email saying the publisher had accepted my book and it would be published in January 2018. But for me the big “moment” was when I stayed up until I saw the book go live on Amazon

13--What’s your favorite genre to read?

Romantic Suspense

14--What’s your favorite movie?

Alfred Hitchcock’s North by Northwest

15--What is your favorite season?

Autumn

16--How do you like to celebrate your birthday?

My favorite way is with friends—trail riding, white water rafting or just hanging out being together

17--What’s a recent tv show/movie/book/podcast you highly recommend?

My schedule doesn’t leave me a lot of time to watch television or movies so when I do I tend to go back to classics I know I will enjoy: North by Northwest, To Catch a Thief, Castle, Game of Thrones (all but the last season!)

18--What’s your favorite type of cuisine?

Southern Comfort Food

19--What do you do when you have free time?

Free time? What is this free time you speak of? Right now, I am focusing on writing, so the majority is spent working. BUT I do like to pack the dogs in the back of the Mazda CX-5 and go for a drive on the backroads of Virginia

20--What can readers expect from you next?
