Iβve been waiting exactly a year for you guys to meet Alex Caruthers. Sheβs the
star of my new release
Dragons Prefer Blondes. Sheβs a tough chick, with a big mouth,
and I absolutely love her. Well, I love her almost as much as I do her main man
Jake. Heβs fairly close to the perfect man β a smart hottie with lots oβ
muscles.
In my head, and hopefully on the page, he comes across as an alpha male, but he
doesnβt necessarily shove it in your face. Heβs cool with letting a woman be
all she can be, and heβs so supportive. But he definitely has opinions on
things, and he and Alex butt heads quite often.
Hereβs the official blurb: Alex Caruthers is a sassy socialite who knows when
itβs time to turn in her dancing shoes and kick some serious dragon booty. But
when Ginjinβthe dragon warrior whoβs tried to kill her numerous timesβchooses
her as his mate, Alex finds herself in a situation thatβs too hot to handle.
For help she turns to Jake, head of Caruthers securityβand a total hottie in a
suitβand asks him to pose as her boyfriend. Their relationship might be fake,
but Alex canβt deny that one touch from Jake makes her burn hotter than any
dragon could.

A lot of my friends have great books out this month, so here we go!
One of my all-time favorite people, and one heck of a
beautiful diva,
Jill
Monroe, is in the
Endless Summer anthology for Harlequin Blaze. She tells me that
her story
Wet and Wild is about "Daredevil Rookie of the Year
Andrea 'Drea' Powell, who needs a sponsor. Superstar pro Kirk Murray needs a
flashy new surfer to back. The explosive results heat up the competitionβ¦and
the bedroom!" Jill shares this anthology with the awesome Julie Kenner and
Karen Anders.
Sheβs loud, a little crazy and I absolutely adore
Dakota Cassidy and her
books. Her latest,
Kiss
& Hell, almost gave me hernia I laughed so hard. Hereβs the blurb:
Delaney Markham doesnβt just see dead people, she hears them too. And FYIβ
communicating with tortured souls all day can really wreak havoc on your love
life. Sans boyfriend, Delaney makes the best of her gift by holding sΓ©ances to
make ends meetβthat is until one incredibly annoying ghost just wonβt go away.
Besides being sinfully hotβin a college professor sort of wayβall signs point
to Clyde Atwell being much more than the ordinary spirit. In fact, heβs a
newbie demon whose first assignment is to take Delaney back down to hell with
him. Yeah, like thatβs going to happen on the first date.
Cynthia Eden
says, "My latest book,
Midnight's Master, is the third book in my paranormal Midnight
trilogy, and it focuses on the all powerful demon Niol. Niol was supposed to be
the bad guy of the trilogy, but readers really responded to him, and I had to
write a book telling his story. Does the bad boy become good? Well, not
exactly. But, this time, Niol does meet his match in a stubborn reporter, a
woman who isnβt afraid to face the darkness inside of him."
I am loving the cover of
Allegra Grayβs
Nothing But Scandal. Yummers. When her father dies, Elizabeth
Medford must make some drastic decisions, one of which is destroying her
reputation so that she doesnβt have to marry a vile man. She wants to include
the delectable Alex Brainbridge, Duke of Beaufort, but heβs not so sure he
wants to be involved.
Kate Douglas says,
"Wolf Tales VIII has just
releasedβitβs actually two separate stories that come together with a
surprising conclusion as the six new Chanku are split upβthree to Montana to be
mentored by Anton Cheval and the pack, and the other three to Colorado where
Millie and Ulrich will take on their training. I really had fun with Millieβs
storyβsheβs my age (no spring chicken!) and I paired her with a young man in
his twenties in need of some βhands onβ training. I love writing erotic
paranormal, but this was my first βolder woman/younger manβ story, and I have
to admit, it was a LOT of fun!β You go girl!
JoAnn Ross has a new
one out. "
Breakpoint is
the fourth in my
High Risk series featuring former Spec Ops heroes, a
series thatβs especially personal to me because not only have I βadoptedβ
several deployed troops over the past few years through Soldiersβ Angels, my
husband also has a nephew on his second tour in Iraq, and another who's served
in Iraq and is currently deployed as a Medi-evac in Afghanistan.
(Coincidentally where the mission that went disastrously wrong and changed all
the High Risk menβs lives occurred.) So, every day while writing, I'm thinking
of all of them."
Love at First Flight is
Marie Forceβs
latest. "Juliana isn't looking for love. . .When she meets Michael in an
airport,β says Marie. βJuliana's been dating Jeremy for ten years. While Jeremy
is taken in by the lure of other women, Michael offers Juliana everything she's
ever wanted. Michael is going to his engagement party...But with one look at
Juliana, his beautiful but manipulative fiancΓ©e fades to the background."
Leigh Court has sexy
Victorian novella,
The
Bet, out this month. βAs a historical romance author,β she says βI'm noted
for dropping my characters into impossible situations and then stepping back to
watch how they deal with it (while falling in love in the process, of course)!
This particular story was inspired by the fascinating discovery that during the
sexually repressive Victorian era, Richard Francis Burton introduced the Kama
Sutra to England. Can you guess what situation I threw my characters into in
The Bet?β
Hereβs a look at
Michele
Dunawayβs
Bachelor
CEO, Chase McDaniel had it all planned out. He'd work his way up in the
family business and become CEO. Except the heir to McDaniel Manufacturing just
got a rude awakening. His soon-to-retire grandfather is ordering him to take a
year off and wind out what he really wants. Chase knows what he doesn't want--
gorgeous, talented Miranda Craig taking his job. But this job is a dream come
true for Miranda. She has no intention of stepping aside...even if Chase is the
sexiest man she's ever met and there's that little issue of falling in love...
Until next time...

I have some of the books you mentioned today in my TBR pile and I have read Kiss and Hell by Dakota Cassidy; you're right it was funny and I enjoyed it. I haven't seen your book at the stores yet but I'm keeping my eyes open
