Daffodils

I always look forward to seeing the first flowers of spring bloom. This year was no exception. I believe they are called daffodils, but I know for sure that they always lift my spirits. I'm not a big fan of winter so seeing those bright yellow flowers is something I look forward to with great anticipation every year.

Re: Daffodils

We have crocuses that come up first,
but I have daffodils planted all around
my house and in a bed across the
front yard that is about 100 feet long.
There are several different varieties.
They have gone by now, but the irises
are blooming and the peaonies will be
blooming soon. I love spring flowers.

Spring is official for me with my two peony bushes flowering.

Peonies don't grow in our part of Texas, but we have bluebonnets, azalias, freesias, jonquils, ground orchids and orchid trees, yesterday-today-and- tomorrows, and many other beautiful Spring flowers. I, too, love Spring.
