Celebrate Our Veterans, Win a Signed copy of THE MONUMENTS MEN by Robert M. Edsel
We're celebrating veterans today and in our home it's a very special day as we
have several vets as family members as well as friends. So our hats are off to
those who serve our country in uniforms across the ages!
Tom thought this book would be an appropriate gift -- he's enjoying his own copy
-- it's the stories of men and women who took their talents to the war zones of
WWII to rescue art and culture. It's a great read for any age.

We should always honor our vets no matter was war they fought. We should continue to take care of them when they become older no matter their income they should qualify for medical coverage from the Federal goverment (Annetta Stolpmann 3:51pm November 11, 2009)
This is a day to honor all who lost their lives in all the wars and at Fort Hood too. (Lisa Glidewell 8:39pm November 11, 2009)
Thanks to all Veterans and to those men and women still serving! (Kelli Jo Calvert 11:43am November 12, 2009)
I just saw a very interesting show last night on the art treasures looted by the Nazis in Poland and France, specifically Paris. Many in Paris were "appropriated" from Jewish families living there. Only a small fraction have been recovered. The book looks very interesting, though I'm not sure if I still qualify.
As for the veterans, all of them should be cared for, even if they had no visible wounds from the war. I know from my own father how deeply he was influenced by his service. (Sigrun Schulz 1:45am November 13, 2009)

I would love to read this book as a daughter of a WWII vet (Allison Gardner 9:32am November 25, 2009)
I would love to win this book because my Dad was one of these heroes and I did not realize it till I was a adult. Daddy was a tail gunner on the fifth plane over on D-Day, "The Lady Luck". (Susan Lathen 8:24pm November 29, 2009)
