Love, Danger, Homecomings & Heart β€” Your June Reading Escape Starts Here

Tonya's Tidbits
Tonya Callihan keeps readers up-to-date with the best series romance books released by Harlequin and Silhouette.

Learn more about Nocturne and Desire!

Silhouette Desire is a line closely compared to Harlequin Presents. In both
lines you have an alpha-hero, he’s rich, successful, and good looking. In
Harlequin Presents the heroine is struggling and only finds her way to
independence through the hero. Most stories from Silhouette Desire have an
independent heroine. She has a career, sometimes a home of her own. In these
books that’s what drives the hero to the heroine, her independence. And in some
cases the hero has no clue that the heroine is successful in her own right.
About 80% of these books surround around office romances or marriage of
convenience. It’s all about what the hero needs to get ahead in life and in his
career, but he always learns a valuable lesson: he needs the heroine to make
his life complete.

DO NOT DISTURB UNTIL CHRISTMAS by Charlene Sands is a book about betrayal and revenge. Singer, Sarah Rose had left Cody Landon for the limelight and now he has his chance to hurt her as much as she hurt him. He will seduce her and then toss her aside. His plans don’t go as planned when Sarah ends up pregnant and now he will have to marry her to save her reputation. He figures he will divorce her after the baby is born, but by marrying her he has what he’s always wanted: Sarah.

For all you romance readers who love a great intrigue story than you will love
Harlequin Intrigue books. It’s hard to pick only one book because all six of
them are Christmas themed. If you love books about kidnapping, detectives, PI’s
and the guy always coming to the girls rescue than you will love any book from
Intrigue.

Silhouette Nocturne Bites are only available in Ebooks. These are shorter
stories that are about vampires and werewolves. So if you don’t have time to
sit down and read a long book these Ebooks are ideal. You can have it on your
computer and the length won’t take you as long to read. And most of these
Ebooks only cost $2.99.

Spice Books are for a mature audience. If you have read Blaze and Presents you
have read some pretty explicit sex scenes. From Spice Books anything goes, any
word, any trick, any position, anything goes. The regular Ebooks are longer and
cost around $12.00. But they have added a Spice Briefs section; these books are
shorter, and less expensive. Remember these books aren’t for everyone; it
really depends on your comfort level with sex, if you like it steamy than go
for it. And you have to be at least 18 to purchase and/or read these books.

Keep reading and have fun doing it. Make sure to come back the beginning of
December for some really great Christmas reads.

Happy Reading,

Tonya
