Re: Hot Rain (10:59pm January 4, 2012):

I find the concept of online dating to be interesting and fun - if both are truthful. I find that to be hard if it's all online but hopefully both parties are going with the truth!

HOT RAIN does sound like a wonderful story.

Re: Deadly Obsession (1:12pm August 16, 2011):

Taking care of all those close to him. Just being there is enough. Book does sound great!

Re: Ice Cold (1:32pm July 18, 2010):

Have a great time at RWA!

I've read Lisa Gardner LIVE TO TELL and listened to Tess Gerritsen's ICE COLD in the last couple of weeks. Lisa Gardner's was very thought-provoking and a little scary while ICE COLD was so good I'll be listening to it again even if I know what will happen. Both women must have very fertile minds LOL

I've been to several booksigning even one of the RWA's and would love to meet Susan Mallery in person, Sharon Sala, Alice Duncan just a big variety of authors.

Re: Crush On You (5:53pm July 7, 2010):

friends to lovers is a wonderful story line. No personal experience other than dh and I are friends even after 40 years LOL

Re: Blown Away (3:55pm June 1, 2010):

I agree the topic is a winner

I'd say I read as released most of the time. Love when trilogy is released 3 months in a row

Re: Live To Tell (3:16pm May 10, 2010):

So glad you got to go the signings and hope the Saturday tea doesn't have to be cancelled.

Myself I have had to change plans several times especially when the kids were young--they got sick for all major family events LOL Since I no longer drive I try not to make too many plans the dh has to be my chauffeur for but have had to cancel a few of those things too

Re: Seeing Red (3:00pm March 1, 2010):

I did OK with my reading but only 6 books but the audio books was 18 LOL I don't even have a commute but listen while cleaning, cooking and just about any other thing I do. I only get to read in the evenings so my book count has gone way down. I did get a new-to-me author in r/s Leslie Parrish FADE TO BLACK. I know this is Leslie Kelly. In audio none really standout but I did like them all.

Re: Forbidden Falls (2:15pm January 17, 2010):

I have a MP3 player that I love but only for audio books. We have 3 computers but use very little really other than email but technology is amazing I just am too lazy to learn how to use it LOL

Re: The Splendor Falls (11:20am December 1, 2009):

what a wonderful sounding book and I like the cover too. My daughter and her new 13 y.o. step-daughter would enjoy this

Re: Mackenzie's Legacy (2:17pm July 26, 2009):

I like to see characters some years later but like most I don't want to see my faves die or even age that much LOL the next generation of Christine Rimmer's JONES GANG have began to show up--it's fun to see their parents and grandparents LOL but does make me feel OLD!

Re: Earth Guys Are Easy (1:41pm July 15, 2009):

Congrats on the weight lose - happy gardening, eating those veggies and some treadmill

I love Yellow Submarine and Hey Jude but also saw the Sumpremes at Lake Tahoe in '68 I believe it was. Must have woren a short skirt LOL

Re: Mr. Perfect (5:24pm July 12, 2009):

I was surprised that Chelsea Cain's Archie Sheridan & Gretchen Lowell series was so good--HEARTSICK, SWEETHEART & EVIL AT HEART. I read all 3 in the last month can hardly wait till next year now LOL

Re: The Guernsey Literary And Potato Peel Pie Society (11:56am July 5, 2009):

The Da Vinci Code didn't do much for me and The Twilight Series didn't either I only listened not read Twilight Series which had I read the books I'm not sure I would have even gotten through the first, I've been looking at GL&PPS and may still read it but with the knowledge I don't have to fall in love with in LOL

Re: Lip Service (12:42pm June 4, 2009):

I know I'm really late with this but what a great topic - 20 Wishes. I have the book in my TBR mountain sounds like I better read it sooner but after I finish LIP SERVICE it's next! Love the Titus girls. Oh, I thought there were a few HOT scenes in UNDER HER SKIN with Lexi & Cruz.

Re: Beneath Bone Lake (5:32pm May 28, 2009):

I can't believe I wrote that -- "we could hear them" LOL

Re: Beneath Bone Lake (5:30pm May 28, 2009):

rats are something that scares the heck out of me. We had a nest of them in our attic and for a few nights we could here them chewing on the wood - to say the least we got rid of them very fast LOL

Re: The Warrior (11:27am May 24, 2009):

I'm also both--I have a list, grocery or other, but usually get a lot more. I love internet shopping for books and lots of other things too. I could spend hours in the local Borders and come out with so many books LOL

Enjoy Fiddler I'm sure you'll love it--I saw a local production a few years ago.

Re: Pretty in Plaid (3:57pm May 17, 2009):

as a rule I'm not an early person but for a signings I am LOL I'm just on time, mostly

Re: Under Her Skin (12:40pm May 4, 2009):

What a lovely tea room w/a lots of nice ladies and a great author/speaker!

acouple of years ago I went to a tea w/Brenda Novak in an old town here in the Gold Country of CA

Re: Comfort Food (11:32pm May 3, 2009):

I don't often know what's next but I have started listening to books too so I have a hc for reading in the evening, a pb for bedtime and now the MP3 player for cleaning, cooking, ironing and any other times I want. Right now my hc, is an arc, of Linda Castillo's SWORN TO SILENCE - it's great, pb is Susan Mallery's UNDER HER SKIN-great too and the MP3 is NEW MOON, #2 in the Twilight saga--I'm listening because granddaughter loves the series so I need to too LOL Bella has so much angst it's almost funny!

Re: Wild Heat (1:26pm April 30, 2009):

Great story of your own! My mother is gone now but romance wouldn't have been her choice at least I don't think so but you never know. Great covers and I'm sure stories to match!

Re: Wild Heat (1:25pm April 30, 2009):

Re: Behind The Shadows (11:29am April 26, 2009):

I love retail therapy of books--not clothes LOL Books you don't have to look for your size, which you probably hate, the color, the style, and all those upsetting things. Maybe that's why we like shoes?? not so hard to shop for books I can order online, new or used! and know what I'm getting hours of adventure in my mind LOL

Re: The Accidental Human (11:36am April 12, 2009):

I'm not much of a cover person-I like to read the bc but the more eye-catching covers have better sales I'm sure.

Hope you had a lovely time at the dinner!!

Re: The Accidental Human (11:59am March 30, 2009):

Sandi, I agree with Mary Karen Rose is good but also Branda Novak, Allison Brennan, Jordan Dane, Lisa Jackson, Lisa Gardner, Karen Robards and some of Linda Howard's are great romantic suspense. I'm not a paranormal fan but do read some in fact just listened to the YA "TWILIGHT" by Stephanie Meyer, my granddaughter insisted now she wants me to read/listen to whole series LOL it was OK too

Re: Summer On Blossom Street (11:23pm March 8, 2009):

Interesting question-I feel that if I can remember the story after I put down the book then I've been involved and that's the sign of a good book IMHO off hand only one character comes to mind--Eve Dallas and Roarke LOL

Re: Made To Be Broken (12:39pm February 8, 2009):

my bookmark is in Jordan Dane's NO ONE HEARD HER SCREAM and listening to Lisa Jackson's LOST SOULS. I listened to SCARPETTA earlier this week and found it to be pretty good--much better than the last 6 or 8 LOL not sure what's next

Re: The Secret Life of Bees (12:05pm February 8, 2009):

I've not seen too many movies after reading the book but not many are as good but how could they be? I enjoy Grisham both movies & books. Just got THE SECRET LIFE OF BEES for 17 y.o. granddaughter so I guess I'll be reading it soon I'll have to ask her her opinion on movie vs book.

Re: Evil Without A Face (3:12pm January 29, 2009):

I have teenage granchildren that are very computer literate unlike me LOL I have been concerned over the years but their parents have been vigilate but still the predators are so creepy!
I'm reading one of your books at the moment and look forward to this new one!

Re: Obama (1:41pm January 18, 2009):

I don't read biographies now. It's been some years since I even read one and don't believe I have any in the TBR mountain. When my FIL was ill he and I listened to some excerpts of Barack Obama's books--interesting but didn't make me even want to read or listen LOL

Re: Sweet Talk (1:15pm September 29, 2008):

I don't often save a series I save to read all at once. I liked the Bakery Sisters! Nicole was my fave!
