Re: Prince Of Power (1:09am January 3, 2013):

While the cover of a book is indeed important, it is usually the title that first
catches my eye. Probably because my idea of handsome is quite different
than what I see on most covers. Not that the men on the covers aren't
good looking, they are. However, there's good looking, then yummy, and
finally mouth watering. Few covers are mouth watering for me, so I must
read the blurb to see if I find the description enough.

Re: For The Love Of A Goblin Warrior (12:54pm January 3, 2013):

So many books about werewolves and vampires, this sounds like it could
be fresh and intriguing. Looking forward to a taste of something different.

Re: Renegade (6:15pm December 24, 2012):

I adore Muppets Christmas Carol and It's a Wonderful Life. I like both the black & white and colour versions. I'm not big on the Home Alone movies, the boy is a jerk.

Re: The Snow White Christmas Cookie (9:03am November 4, 2012):

I would love to have this book. It would allow me to see if there is another series out there that I want to read.
Thank-you for the terrific giveaway and good luck to every entrant!!!

Re: Conjure (3:01pm November 2, 2012):

I would love to read this book. I am not frightened by any of the mythical/paranormal beasts. There are far too many of the real ones in this sad world. So, I love retreating to a world where the beasts can be overcome in under 300 or so pages. LOL

Re: Big Bad Wolf (4:09pm October 27, 2012):

just found this short blog and wanted to remind you that having other readers in the same situation is hardly :) suggestive that your are not a crazy reader...LOL

Re: One Night with a Hero (4:02pm October 27, 2012):

I love military heroes. So much so, that I married one for myself...Tsgt Lawrence Knapp, 21 years in the Air Force and 2 tours Vietnam. He is my hero and yours because while so many American wimps were running to Canada...my Canadian came to the U.S. and enlisted, volunteering to go to Vietnam.

Re: Beef Stolen-Off (6:10pm July 16, 2012):

Humility can be taught to anyone who is around children for very long. When I was twenty-four, I met the man who would be my husband. He already had five children from his first marriage, the eldest , twins, 11 at the time.

We had been dating for a while and I was ready to move the relationship to the next level. I don't remember exactly how it started but we were in the kitchen and I had gotten out hot dogs to fix for dinner, his 5 and my 2, were due home on the school bus at about 4:45 and I didn't realize that that it was past that time. I started to use a hot dog as an inuendo (you understand, I hope) because I can still feel the heat in my cheeks as suddon laughter burst out from the doorway and two look-a-like boys began laughing so hard, they fell to their knees.
I am positive that I would not have understood, back when I was their age, but they clearly knew exactly what I was suggesting to their father.
I learned that I needed to be very careful not to assume that we were alone or that what I was doing would not understood by an eleven old.

Re: Joy Ride (5:02am June 15, 2012):

I was one of the fortunate few. I became a reader despite a home with few books. I have to give credit for becoming an avid reader to my 6th grade teacher, Ms. Anciaux.

I was a strange little bird, only recently being diagnosed with a lifelong disability (Dispraxia), who was so frustrated with school that I rarely tried. See, I was never as fast as the other students...especially is writing was required. In addition, my handwriting was nearly indecipherable (a symptom of Dispraxia.) So, once I mastered a subject, like long division, I wouldn't bother doing anymore worksheets. Homework that most students could finish in 20 minutes took me hours, because I had to redo until ledgible. I became quite disruptive in classes.

Ms Anciaux seemed to accept, if not understand, that I would not participate in writing assignments or worksheets. She came to me one day and said that I had to settle down and be quiet. If I wasn't going to participate in class, then the least I could do was pick out a book (she had maybe 25 of them on a shelf) and read quietly.

I thought I would humour her, so I grabbed one. The title was Run, Teddy, Run (although I cannot remember who the author was.) and I was hooked. From then on, I could aways be found with a book. Ms. Aniaux would decided to capitalize on this and told me I have to write and give a book report. I was devastated. In tears, I tried...but even I have trouble reading my own handwriting. I approached her and said I couldn't do it. She asked why and I gave her my paper.

She handed back and said to give the report from what I had. Of course, I gave the report from memory of what I had read. Everyone loved it and were surprised. I was the slow one...

This became a ritual, one book a week. I would write an outline, and give an oral.

Of course, typewriters and computers have helped a little. I have never broken 40 words per minute (dispraxia), but at least I'm ledgible.

Reading is persona

Re: The Wild Wood Enquiry (9:11pm June 14, 2012):

This would be a great addition to my books.

I think it is the way the center of town is laid out, but I have only read Murder on Monday and Terror on Tuesday. I am still hunting out the rest.

Re: Night Walker (11:57pm May 16, 2012):

I hope to win, but good luck to every entrant!!!

Re: Kiss Of The Goblin Prince (3:28am May 12, 2012):

this sounds terrific. Thanks for the opportunity

Re: Hannah's Joy (6:07pm May 6, 2012):

I'm not sure of the differences so this could be educational as well as enjoyable. Thanks for the opportunity.

Re: Under His Protection (3:39am April 29, 2012):

signed up for the giveaway and wanted to thank-you for the wonderful opportunity. I love these stories and this website. Thank-you so much!

Re: Blackmailed by the Italian Billionaire (9:46am April 22, 2012):

I believe that we will see strong heroines. I would like to see a few househusbands and heroines saving the men. I would also prefer to have less graphic sex scenes...part of reading is putting my imagination to work and sometimes the sex scenes are so graphic that it is spoiled. Each woman has their own "movements" that excite them and perhaps a few that turn them off. When a scene is too graphic it can actually be a turn off and ruin the book.

Re: One Month To Become A Mum (7:32pm April 19, 2012):

I love medical romances...well, romance of any type, but if well written medical romances are just as good as any other romance genre. I have read a few and this one sounds good.

Re: The Zen Man (2:17pm April 18, 2012):

love your answers, but what about Jim Hutton as "Ellery Queen?" Oh! I had such a crush on him...got me reading all of the books and the magazines. Sadly, he passed the summer before my senior year...I was melancholy for the entire year.

William Conrad as "Cannon." Who didn't fall for the voice?

Mike Conners as "Mannix."

And my very first PI crush, "Paul Drake", the original, not the joke of a nephew. No, William Hopper is the only one who could play that role!

Re: The Devil and Miss Jones (8:34am April 8, 2012):

I love the title. I didn't mind the old titles, but it is nice to know that you are now able to choose your own title. I have never let titles decide whether I would choose a book; I find one in my genre and then read the blurb. So, those books without a blurb...just reviews...rarely get chosen. LOL

Re: Woodrose Mountain (12:59pm April 5, 2012):

i would love to win a copy. thank-you for the opportunity!!!

Re: Wedded In Scandal (2:02pm April 3, 2012):

I eagerly await your next book!

Re: Hellsbane (7:21pm March 15, 2012):

I love music when I am crafting or crocheting. However, I never listen to it when working or trying to sleep. I get sucked in and will zone in to the music to the exclusing of work and sleep

Re: Under The Covers (5:03pm March 13, 2012):

Am I too late? since before my nest emptied, I have wanted to start a small private interactive children's library and museum. I have more than 5000 books, a sarcophagus, a vampire's coffin (yes, the vampire is in it.) oil paintings, bronzes, civil war and WWII memorabilia, etc.
Now I need a building which is easier said than done. But I try.

Re: The Forbidden Claim (4:56pm March 13, 2012):

More minutes? Wow, what a concept. I would draw a long, deep, hot bath. I would light some candles (for ambiance. only) turn on my reading light and read and soak and soak and read...I am swooning at the thought. LOL

Re: Sketch a Falling Star (4:53pm March 13, 2012):

I don't know about time warps, but man, can I lose 3 hours in a flash while reading. I can't hear anything, see anything, or be easily distracted once I've honed in on a story. I will be in trouble if they stop writing these types of books.

Re: Neil's Fire (4:44pm March 13, 2012):

I, too, find it difficult to describe myself. The fact that I am a mother of nine, grandmother of 16? 17? certainly cannot define me. That I have a Bachelors in English and Sociology and a Master's in Education with subspecialties in reading, English, and counseling won't help you much either. The fact that I am over 300 lbs now (am having bariatric surgery in June) definitely does not describe me. So what should I say.

I am an over-educated, under motivated retired women who was in the Air Force. I want to start my own private children's library and have over 5000 books to start with, now I just need a building. I love dogs and cats. Dogs love you every minute and cats show that at times they too need loving contact - its the moment I become dominate in their lives. I love romances, and histories, and bios, and a little none fiction occassionally, but not too often because the world is a depressing enough place without undating myself with the tragedies, so when I read a non-fiction it is usually about something good or helpful.
I am a collector and have to be careful not to be a hoarder.
Oh, and I am a taurus. finally, I love contests and learning about authors...usually in that order.
P.S. I wish every entrant good luck and happiness. I believe God fulfils our needs and then our desires, unless the ones we desire our not good for us.
P.P.S I have been married to my second husband for 25 years this coming October...I am blessed.

Re: Miss Hillary Schools a Scoundrel (12:35pm February 28, 2012):

a couple years ago, my husband and I renewed our vows. The kids wanted a renaissance theme to go with the renewal. They loved the idea of rebirth/renewal. Anyway, my huusband not only wore a puffy shirt, he wore puffy pants. Not that the pants were much of a stretch...military members often "blouse" the pants to keep the creepy crawlies from climbing into their boots. However, the outfit he wore was of a troubadour, black and white striped. It's amazing what a man will do to please the ones he loves.

Re: Clobbered By Camembert (9:39pm February 25, 2012):

To date, there are only a few cheeses that I truly adore. However, I can eat those cheeses with breakfast, lunch, dinner, and later for dessert. Now, I will have to try them while reading a mystery. Also, I love these series mysteries. I am in the middle of the Domestic Diva mysteries. Yours would fit in real well with this, since they are event/party planners. Of course, I hope I win. But I expect that if I dont, I will be looking for them at my local bookstore.

Re: The Night Is Mine (9:54pm February 16, 2012):

Thanks for the mini bio. I love to write, but have never tried to be published. I keep them for my family. I won't recount any of the trials in my life, but as a woman with nine children and 16 grandchildren, I have had my share of trials and tribulations.

Re: By Hook Or By Crook (1:43am January 24, 2012):

I am dislexic and backwards when it comes to reading crochet patterns. However, my grandma taught me to types of crocheting when I young. I learned the granny square and how to make an 8 petal flower. The best part is that you can use the flower as the inside first three levels of the granny square. I make afghans and baby blankets. My daughter's BFF got married in Dec and allshe want from me is a blanket in her wedding colours. light and dark brown with teal, the flower is a mix of those colors.

Anyway, I recently found the Domestic Diva series and was entranced, so when I learned that there are mysteries with themes like bibliophiles, coffee, sewing, and of course crocheting, I knew I had to hunt them out. I hope to win a few because at $7-$8 each (a fair price) it is $35-40 per set if not more. My husband is retired and I am a student...so money is carefully budgeted...I only get $50.00 a month for books, yarn, scrapbooking. Choosing between them can be hard so I sign up for the book giveaways.
Good luck to everyone, the winner will be luck and I'm sure will enjoy this book.

Re: Falling For The Fireman (1:26am January 24, 2012):

I always enjoy reading romances with firemen in them. 27 years ago, I met my fireman and we married. We have 7 boys and 2 girls. Despite moving several times, my husband always joined the local volunteer fire department. Sadly, they recently told him that he wa getting too old to continue. But whenever I find a book like this one, I read it to him and prove he's not too old to be my fireman.
