Hey there! I am so excited to be celebrating my new release MK
Meredith. This whole experience has been such a wonderful whirlwind of
learning, making new friends, and meeting new amazing authors and readers.
Writing romance surrounds me with never ending possibilities of happy ever
afters—hard to come by sometimes in a world where every event good or bad is
presented at the end of our eyelashes—some I’ve expected and some I have not.
Which had been a lot of fun.
I wanted to share with you one of my favorite moments as a fan.
Last year we moved to the D.C. area, and I joined Washing Romance Writers, the
local affiliated chapter of Romance Writers of America. In March I was invited
to a party at Nora’s house in appreciation for chapter volunteers.
Now, I’ve met her before, a few times, at RWA conferences. I always stand in
line to get my picture with her, and to say hello. She has always been so
gracious and kind.
I remember at conference in California in 2012, she and I found ourselves on
the elevator together. From a fan girl point of view, it was on par with riding
with Gerard Butler!
We said hello, and just as I was getting off on my floor she said, “I love your
shoes.”
I floated off the elevator, ran to my room, took a picture of the shoes and
posted the whole meeting on Facebook. My fellow readers who love Nora, totally
understand.
Once I arrived at her party, a group of us were chatting over drinks, and her
friend reminded her. “You know MK Meredith, she’s the one with the great
heels.” A compliment I adore!
Nora’s face lit up. “You must come see my new closet.”
A private alcove of shelves and rows, beautifully displayed. If there was ever
a heaven on earth. This was it. Standing in the middle of her exquisite shoe
closet, surrounded by paired pieces of art, and talking romance with one of my
heroes.
I pinched myself just to be sure it was all real.
And now I have an amazing blueprint for my dream shoe closet. They say the best
form of flattery is imitation right? LOL!
If this is the kind of happy ever afters my romance writing can bring. I’m all
in!
Cheers!
MK Meredith
I write single title contemporary romance novels, promising an emotional ride
on heated sheets. As a member of several writing groups, I believe the best
route to success is to never stop learning.
I've had a lifelong love affair with peanut butter -- the only two things
coming close in the battle for my affections are gorgeous heels, and maybe
Gerard Butler...or was it David Gandy? Who am I kidding? My true loves are my
husband and two children who have survived my SEA's (spontaneous explosions of
affection) and lived to tell the tale.
I've been reading romance long before I should have and can’t think of anything
better than to fill my life with the promise of happily-ever-afters.
Why romance? ~ There is nothing more exhilarating than to write about one of
the most powerful entities on earth. Love can be the fall of kingdoms and move
mountains, destroy lives and create new life, inspire the dark and summon the
light. Love is a challenge, a hope, and a miracle all wrapped into one. Love is
life. I write about life.

is a second chance of his own - to prove he's not the player she remembers. And
Malibu is the perfect backdrop to make a girl swoon.
